I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here will be catapulting back onto our screens on November 21, and if you’re anything like us, you’re probably excited to see the dramas of this series unfold.
The popular ITV gameshow that sees high-profiled and well-loved celebrities head into the Australian jungle, or more recently a rainy Welsh castle, is never shy of drama.
To celebrate the show making a massive comeback, here at Daily Star we’re going to look back at some of the most explosive moments that led to barrages of Ofcom complaints.
From James Haskell ‘mocking disability’ to Jordan North’s vomit, there are plenty of moments that have left viewers filing complaints to Ofcom.
But let’s face it, regardless of the complaints, I’m A Celeb never fails to entertain us.
James Haskell reported to Ofcom by fans for ‘mocking disability’

When James was in the Austrailian jungle, he received a huge amount of backlash from viewers when he ‘mocked disability’.
The former England rugby player is married to Chloe Madeley, who’s dad Richard from GMB is rumoured to be entering the welsh castle this year.
Viewers of the show were fuming when James made a comment to Ian Wright about the way he was running.
A spokesperson for Ofcom told Express.co.uk in 2019, that 110 complaints had been lodged.
Ian took a run through the jungle while with James, when the rugby player said: “He’s completely lost the plot.”
He then said: “Look at that clubfoot,” a comment that angered viewers enough to file complaints to the regulator.
One angry viewer took to Twitter to say: “#clubfootawareness my son has bilateral clubfeet and this is how he runs. Pain he is in daily breaks my heart, and this grown man is mocking it!!”
Another added: “Absolutely disgusted that @jameshaskell is making fun of people with clubfoot.
“Even more furious @ITV thought it was okay to air the comment! I think @Ofcom will be getting a lot of complaints from clubfoot mamas! #talipesawareness #proudclubfootmama.”
TOWIE’s Ferne ate a live spider

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Ferne McCann was a part of the most complained about segment of her series.
It was reported that 1,500 people complained to Ofcom after mother of one Ferne, who has a daughter named Sunday, ate a live spider.
The first 500 complaints were filed immediately.
In January 2016, the regulator cleared the popular show of any wrongdoing.
Jordan North’s projectile vomiting

Last year when the I’m A Celeb crew filmed in Wales for the very first time, Jordan North was a contestant.
The 2020 series began on Sunday, November 15 and within the first episode Jordan could be seen projectile vomiting.
Viewers were left furious when Jordan being sick was shown on TV.
The stars had to abseil down a cliff and before he even started Jordan threw up to the side as the panic took over him.
Walking away from his co-stars, Jordan walked towards the bushes, leant over and threw up as his campmates watched on in horror.
Jordan told the camera: “I feel quite anxious. I do feel a bit sick. This isn’t a normal thing to do.”
Moments later his nerves got the better off him and the star threw up in front of his fellow stars which he had just met.
37 complaints were made to the broadcast watchdog in relation to Jordan vomiting.
Martin Roberts bullying claims

In 2016, former EastEnders and Gavin and Stacey legend Larry Lamb got into multiple rows with Homes Under the Hammer’s Martin Roberts.
Not only this, but viewers were outraged by Martin’s treatment by a few campmates with many taking to Twitter to air their views on the situation.
One said: “I have to say as much as I dislike him, I didn’t agree with Adam not giving Martin a piece of chocolate that was BULLYING! #ImACeleb”
Another said: “Not a fan of Martin, but the way he’s being treated by everyone else on the show is awful, it’s bullying #ImACeleb”

Martin spoke out about the claims a few months down the line when he opened up about how upset the rows made him.
Although the show was “positive and amazing” overall, he spoke on GMB in 2017 when he said: “Bits of it reminded me of being bullied at school.
“It brought up stuff and I was able to talk about it with my kids.”
Michael has since revealed that Larry made a tearful apology after leaving the jungle as Ofcom revealed they would not investigate the 51 complaints received during the series.
Animal cruelty accusations
Last year when BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan was in the castle, his final trial was named Iron Maiden.
For his task he stood in in a locked box for 10 minutes as 50 live snakes surrounded him.
Jordan successfully completed the trial and won a dessert for himself and his fellow campmates Giovanna Fletcher and Vernon Kay for their final meal in the castle, as well as a drink and treat for himself.
According to The Sun, some viewers weren’t pleased to see Jordan locked in with the snakes.
The publication reported that Ofcom were hit with around 41 complaints about the trial and the involvement of the animals.
The 2020 series was hit with hundreds of complaints, with 700 being during its first nine episodes – 200 of which were relating to the second episode alone.
Gillian McKeith faints

One of the most iconic moments in I’m A Celebrity history.. if not TV history overall, Gillian McKeith fainting is a true gem of a scene.
After finding out that she had been nominated by viewers for her seventh consecutive bushtucker trial, Gillian was unimpressed.
The live trial saw the TV star appear to faint just before she was due to start the challenge. She was then ruled out on medical grounds after falling to the floor.
Viewers flocked to the phone lines to complain about Gillian’s so-called ‘deception’, while complaining that they had voted for Gillian to do the live trial and then she got ruled out.
Ofcom couldn’t do anything about the 50 complaints they received, but ITV refunded viewers who paid 50p to vote for Gillian to do the trial.
