BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst replaced as fans say new host is 'breath of fresh air'

BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst seemed to be missing from the famous red sofa on Sunday morning and was replaced by Luxmy Gopal.

The bubbly host joined Ben Thompson to present the day’s top stories and fans seemed to love the big difference.

Taking to Twitter, BBC viewers said Luxmy was a “breath of fresh air” and begged her to become a regular BBC Breakfast presenter.

While on the social media platform, one person wrote: “You’re a natural Luxmy, hopefully you’re become a regular every morning, a fresh face is needed.”

Another said: “So, it turns out that Sunday is going to be a great day. What a treat to see you on Breakfast again, Luxmy.”

Wearing a white polka dot dress with a pair of sheer tights, several fans described Luxmy as a “treat” on the show.

Ben showed his evident sadness regarding the cancellation and mentioned it heavily throughout Sunday morning’s programme and how he was a fan of the show.
