The Only Way is Essex star Dan Edgar has spoken out for the first time since being accused of “inappropriate touching” one of his co-star
Ella Rae Wise, 22, claimed that the 32-year-old’s behaviour towards her was “not OK” in a recent interview.
She was later forced to clarify comments in which she alleged Dan was “inappropriate” and claimed that he had touched her waist and held her hand.

Ella then released a statement where she clarified what she had meant. It read: “I want to make it clear that Dan Edgar did not touch me inappropriately without my consent.

“What I did mean was that I think how he has acted towards me while having a girlfriend is not OK.”
Dan took to his Instagram page on Sunday (August 21), the same night of the first episode of the new series of TOWIE aired, to address the accusation.
Uploading a black slide to his stories with white writing on it, he penned: “I wasn’t going to say anything regarding TOWIE but some of the madness that has happened over the past week has left me with no choice but to address it.”

He continued: “The things that have been spoken about on the show are completely false.
“The person this has come from was taken out of filming this week for making false and very damaging allegations in the press which have now been retracted.
“I can’t say too much on this matter as it is being dealt with legally.”
Dan concluded: “However please just bare this in mind when watching the show.”

At the time a source revealed to The Sun that Dan, who has been dating co-star Amber Turner since 2017, “was furious and refusing to film” last week.
They added: “He was kicking off and saying he didn’t want to be a part of the final episode.”
