Inside Sam Ryder's soaring net worth as Eurovision performs at NTAs

Sam Ryder, who impressed Europe with his song Space Man in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, will be opening the National Television Awards tonight.

The 33-year-old earned the UK its best results in Eurovision in decades, coming in second place.

Now Sam is due to open the NTAs after the show was delayed a month due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September.

In a statement, the singer said: “This year instead of watching I’ll be getting up off the sofa to actually perform at the NTAs!

“I couldn’t be more excited to spend the evening singing my head off and celebrating the work of such amazing individuals across the television industry!”

As Sam has surged in popularity all across Europe, so has his net worth – and it’s likely to increase next month after the release of his debut studio album. Here we take a closer look at how much the singer is worth.

At the time, a spokesperson from Odds Scanner said: “These findings highlight the enormous influence that Sam Ryder has, not only in the UK but around the world, with a single sponsored social media post earning the singer a monumental sum of money. It is a testament to the hard work from Ryder and his team that he is now a household name in the UK, despite the UK’s previous negative reputation at the Eurovision Song Contest.”

Sam rose to fame through TikTok during the coronavirus pandemic, catching the attention of famous names like Justin Bieber and Elton John.

He would post snippets of himself singing popular covers, and soon gained millions of fans.

He released his debut EP The Sun’s Gonna Rise in 2021, which quickly boasted 100 million global streams and was followed by a sell-out tour.

However, Sam has been singing since he was a child, and was inspired after seeing Canadian rock band Sum 41 live.

His music career goes back to 2006, where he co-founded a band called The Morning After, who released two studio albums.
