Molly Rainford thanks Strictly for hot new physique as pals compliment her figure

She’s survived the dreaded dance-off three times – and Strictly’s Molly Rainford reckons she’s fighting fit.

That’s because three months of tough training sessions for the BBC show has put her in the best shape of her life – stronger and more toned.

And the CBBC star, 22, could not be more thrilled.

She says: “I have noticed a change in my body. I’m the fittest I’ve ever been.

“People have been saying, ‘You’ve got abs now, Molly’. It’s one of the perks of doing Strictly.

“And I’ve not just grown physically, I’ve grown mentally as well. I’m finding new confidence.

“This show has taught me a lot of resilience and how to pick myself up and keep going.”

But Molly’s hot new physique has come at a price.

Behind the scenes the star has been in pain because dancing around the clock is so tough.

And she’s had to have physio sessions to keep going, particularly after last week’s demanding routine.

She says: “After doing the jive in Blackpool, my legs felt quite bruised. I thought, ‘I’m starting to feel the aches and pains’. My legs need a rest, my back needs a rest.

“There is a physio there to help us every week. I look forward to it. Physio is good.”

That jive left Molly fighting for survival but she won the dance-off which saw radio DJ Tyler West, 26, get the boot. And while she admits it’s “sad” to lose people, she’s managing to stay positive.

“Being in the dance-off is sad,” she says. “But you have to push yourself that little bit harder and show you still want to be there.

“When I’ve been doing the dance-off, I’m mainly thinking about who I’m up against. It’s a real shame when it’s your friend.

“We’ve all got so close this year. We have made such a bond and we’re such a family. So it’s sad because I’m like, ‘I wanted to stay in with you’.”

Molly first found TV fame when she auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent a decade ago, aged 11.

Since then she’s focused on kids’ TV shows with stints on Friday Download and Nova Jones.

The London-born star is thrilled Strictly is giving her the chance to win new fans.

She adds: “It has been so much fun to do something different. It’s nice to show who Molly is.

“I’ve not done a big show since I was a little girl, so it’s nice for people to see me as an adult and who I’ve become.”

Strictly looks set to make her one of TV’s biggest names – and Molly has been bombarded with lucrative job offers in recent weeks.

She says: “It’s a great show to open doors, for sure, especially doing it as one of the youngest.

“I’ve had a lot of people get in contact. I haven’t said yes or no to anything just yet.

“I’m so lucky to be around people that have been in it for so long. The other celebrities are telling me who to talk to and who would be good to be in contact with. It’s great.

“I definitely want to do more acting… maybe an adult drama or comedy.

“And I’d like to use a bit of my dance experience, so I’d like to do some theatre. I’d like to combine my three things – my singing, my acting and my dancing.”

Molly and her partner Carlos Gu will be doing a tango to Bad Guy by Billie Eilish in a bid to win a place in the quarter-final.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday, November 26 at 7.15pm on BBC One
