Dancing on Ice star Michelle Heaton has shared a secret rule regarding the headbanger which could make certain celebs exempt from performing the risky trick.
The Liberty X singer is bracing herself as she prepares to perform on the ice for the first time in front of millions this Sunday (January 15).
But while speaking to Daily Star at a recent press conference ahead of her show debut, Michelle shared that height often plays a part in whether stars are allowed to perform the infamous headbanger or not.

When asked whether she wanted to perform it, the 43 year old confessed that she would love to.
She said: “I hope I’m in it long enough to show you all mine. I will be hopefully attempting it.
“It is something that we’ve spoke about because if I was two inches higher I wouldn’t be thought of. So it’s literally a height thing.
“So when people don’t do it, it’s not that they don’t want to, it’s a height thing and it’s safety. So hopefully in the coming weeks I will attempt it, ” she explained.
The headbanger which is formally known as the bounce spin is a risky move where the man spins the woman from her ankles making her body move up and down in a circle while her head is inches away from the ice.
Due to how dangerous the trick is, in competitive skating the headbanger is illegal to perform.
The first celebrity to showcase the headbanger on Dancing on Ice was actress Bonnie Langford and her dance partner Matt Evers who took on the brave challenge in series one.
In the same season, footballer David Seaman was about to perform the trick but swung his partner Pam O’Connor too close to the ice, resulting in a chin injury.
Last year, Paralympian Stef Reid became the first contestant to perform the spinning routine with a prosthetic leg.
The Dancing on Ice judges were in awe with her skilful headbanger and all individually scored her a nine, resulting in a total score of 36 on the night.
Sharing her thoughts on her performance at the time, Stef said: “I’m really proud we managed to do it we did it on my prosthetic leg.
Dancing on Ice returns to ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, January 15 at 6.30pm
