Instagram influencer Mary Magdalene has assured fans that she isn’t mentally ill and says she views plastic surgery “as a hobby” after shock breast implant explosion.
The Canadian star is known for her many body modifications and recently her 38J breast implant popped, leaving her with just one full breast.
She began getting procedures done at just 18-years-old and spoke to TMZ about her costly habit.

Mary said that plastic surgery gives her an “adrenaline junkie” feeling and compared herself to “anyone that is super into extreme sports”.
She said: “I don’t think it’s a mental illness, I think it’s a hobby. It’s like an extreme sport, I just went overboard […] some people are addicted to danger, climbing the Himalayas or whatever. The stunts they do get increasingly more dangerous […].”
After 12 years of surgeries, Mary has now decided that she is going to go for a “more natural look” after the shock of her burst breast implant.
The implant, that weighed 11lbs, burst and left her with a “uni-boob and a bunch of tattooed skin”.
TMZ wrote: “Mary says her out-of-this-world surgeries brought her happiness over the years […] in fact, she says if her implant didn’t pop, she would have gone even bigger with her next procedure and doubled her already massive 38J cup size.”
The publication continued on to say that she is planning to have her next procedure done in Brussels and Mary is wanting to “go under the knife twice for breast reduction”.
Magdalene’s plans will cost almost $33,000 and will shrink her implants to 700cc, down from a whopping 5,000cc.
Despite the traumatic ordeal, Mary has admitted that the experience gave her “a spiritual awakening” – although helped by “some mind altering substances”.
She told TMZ: “I was doing a lot of [inaudible] and shrooms and then I kind of realised, through that spiritual awakening, that maybe it’s best for my overall wellbeing to just, kind of, tone it down a notch with the surgeries.”
Mary also admitted that she “went overboard” with the surgeries but doesn’t think she has a mental illness.
The influencer then told TMZ that she is planning to save the excess skin that will be cut off during her reduction surgery and save it in a jar – a haunting reminder of her surgery journey.
