Being there in the Catchphrase studio is very different to watching it on the sofa.
With the cameras rolling, the pressure is really on and it’s difficult to think straight.
Ed’s opponent said she is a big fan of the show and even plays the board game at home, so I didn’t have much hope of winning and went in expecting to flop.

But being relaxed and having low expectations must be a winning strategy because after a slow start, Ed went on to ace it and guess the super catchphrase.
He had banked £800 — more than double of his rival.
Host Stephen Mulhern reckoned the win shows the game can’t be that tough after all.
He joked: “There is proof in the pudding that anybody can play Catchphrase!”
And he does want anybody to play Catchphrase – but on a live episode, thinking it would be the perfect way to mark 10 years fronting the show.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: “It would be a genius idea to do the show live.
“Anything live is always more exciting because something can go wrong, so Catchphrase Live is a good idea. I love live TV. If I had to choose between doing something live or pre-recording it, I’d always want to do it live.”
Stephen is hoping show bosses will commission his dream episode – but he admits it would be a risk.
He added: “The thing is, if we got a problem with the screen, we would be in trouble.”
Stephen has hosted a string of big shows including In For A Penny and Saturday Night Takeaway. But Catchphrase is still his favourite.
He said: “The 10 years I’ve been doing it have just flown by. It’s scary!
“It’s the gift that keeps on giving. It never gets boring. I love it. It’s the best gig in the world. I get so many parents who say to me, ‘It’s the one show my kids watch with me, we watch it as a family and play along’. It’s just great.
“I’m not surprised the show has been around for so long because it’s just a good family game.”
Catchphrase is a ratings smash for ITV and there’s no sign of that stopping any time soon. Stephen reckons it will be going for years because the producers keep finding new catchphrases.
He said: “We have a lot of contemporary ones to keep the show up to date.
“And the graphics are amazing now. They have to be. Kids are so savvy, so the show has to look cool.”
