Ellie Goulding taken aback by co-star's boob comment as he asks if hers are 'real'

BRIT Award viewers were left stunned after singer Ellie Goulding was asked if her boobs were real as she presented an award during tonight’s award ceremony (February 11th)

As the 36-year-old singer took to the stage with singer-songwriter Tom Grennan to present the award for Best Newcomer, they greeted the audience and viewers at home with an odd exchange.

Ellie walked out on stage dressed in one of her raciest looks yet, going braless in a daring wet-look top that featured a detailed bust on the front.

Ellie’s top, which appeared to be made of a thin PVC-like material, also featured a belly button indent and a backless design.

Clearly distracted by the look, Tom asked her if her boobs “were real?”

She replied explaining that here were “much further apart.”

Tom said: “I love what you’re doing. These are your real boobs?”

Pointing to her chest, Ellie replied “no these are not, mine are a lot further apart sadly. I wish,” as Tom awkward replied: “sorry.”

Ellie teamed the look with a pair of high-waisted flared trousers which accentuated her long legs.

For the first time in the ceremony’s history, it takes place on a Saturday, broadcast live from London’s O2 Arena.

Harry Styles, Wet Leg, and Sam Smith lead this year’s nominations as the stars battle it out for the coveted awards.

One Direction star Harry Styles was first up to win an award after going up superstar songstress Dua Lipa and Sam Smith for best Pop / R&B Act act.

The Adore You singer, who just snagged a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album For Harry’s House, thanked fans and told viewers it was “good to be home” after being announced the winner by Hollywood babe Salma Hayek.

Harry’s celebrations weren’t over yet as he also went on to snag the Album of the Year.

Earlier in the veening host Mo Gilligan was forced to apologise to Lewis Capaldi after fluffing his introduction to Lewis’s performance by calling him Sam.

Lewis was one of the first live performers to take to the stage during the ceremony to sing his recent hit Forget Me.

But show host Mo, 34, made a blunder by introducing Lewis as Sam Capaldi, perhaps getting his first name mixed up with fellow BRITs attendee Sam Smith.
