Love Island's Shaq 'has met love of his life' as he and Tanya set to 'make final'

Love Island’s Shaq Muhammad has “met the love of his life” according to a body language expert, as he tips Shaq and Tanya Manhenga to win the series final.

Fans of the popular ITV2 reality dating programme have watched the couple go through plenty of emotional moments, including their break-up following Casa Amor and the recent re-coupling.

Despite a row between the pair as Shaq furiously watched Tanya and Martin Akinola’s smooch during movie night, body language expert Darren Stanton has revealed that the couple have “a special connection” and predicts they will “make it to the final two”.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair, Darren said: “Tanya and Shaq have had a truly turbulent relationship whilst in the villa. However, it’s clear the couple have a very special connection, which was evident right from the beginning of the show.”

He then continued to point out the signs that show their special bond in the villa, saying: “Let’s take a look at some tell-tale signs that you look for in a couple.

“The very first is prolonged eye contact, which generally lasts for three to five seconds. When someone feels strong feelings and desires towards another, constant eye contact is one of the key things we look for.

“Contact and closeness are other non-verbal signals that also indicate a strong bond between a couple. We call these proximal zones, so the closer the person gets to another, the more comfortable they feel around them.

“Tanya and Shaq have always enjoyed being in each other’s proximal zones and often show prolonged eye contact. They also display reciprocal liking, which is the basis for deep rapport, trust and attraction in a romantic partner.”

That’s not all, as Darren revealed that Shaq’s reaction to Tanya bringing Martin back from Casa Amor and the emotional drama that followed before their re-coupling has showed that Shaq “truly feels he has met the love of his life”.

Predicting that Tanya and Shaq may win Winter Love Island 2023, Darren continued: “As I successfully predicted the winners of last year’s Love Island, I am definitely tipping these two to be in the final – if not strong contenders to win the competition.

“Overall, there are no other couples in the villa right now who demonstrate a stronger, deeper relationship. No other couples have displayed the resilience that these two have demonstrated, especially after Casa Amor.

“Shaq was totally devastated, hurt, angry and embarrassed, however he obviously felt that way because he truly feels he has met the love of his life.”

He concluded: “It’s going to be an interesting run up to the final stages of the show, but my prediction is that Tanya and Shaq will make it to the final two.”

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
