After claiming her trip to Thailand was “not really a holiday” and laughing off bankruptcy during the show, viewers at home have since slammed the star and said she’s “out of touch”.

Elsewhere Katie wound up viewers due to her candid comments about her recent trip to Thailand after going away for a month, telling Jeremy: “I went to Thailand for a month, but I was still working while I was there, so it wasn’t really a holiday.”

When asked if she was going on another holiday, she responded: “Not yet, but I am in a couple of weeks.”

The conversation immediately sparked backlash online with one person writing: “This has to be an all time low for the show. Is it Gemma Collins next followed by Joey Essex? Your show really is becoming trash TV.”

Another questioned why the star was “given airtime”.

Elsewhere she was quizzed on her bankruptcy and viewers accused her of “laughing off” bankruptcy as one person fumed: “You could have made it a proper interview instead she laughed about her bankruptcy,” adding that the chat was a “waste of time”.

It comes after Katie had said: “You shouldn’t be ashamed if you have a bankruptcy,” adding: “I went through a really tough time the past few years.”

She declared she’s “proud” to come out the other end and said the bankruptcy was “to do with two people in my past”.

Katie explained in the interview that her house is “safe” and cannot be taken away.

Elsewhere in the chat she also explained she worries for young girls having filler and admitted she has regrets over some work she’s had done in the past.
