Sam Smith’s jaw-dropping fortune – earning £10,000 a day and £12m five-bed mansion

It was back in 2014 when a fresh-faced Sam Smith was first propelled into stardom thanks to their gut-wrenching smash hit Stay With Me.

From there, the music sensation has bagged eight number one singles, five Grammy awards and of course, served plenty of jaw-dropping looks too.

So, it’s no surprise to hear that they are doing pretty well when it comes to the contents of their bank account.

And Sam is showing so signs of slowing down anytime soon either, with the popstar fresh from the release of their fourth album, Gloria – which shot straight to number one.

They have also been sending their fans into a frenzy in recent months while on their worldwide tour to support the new record.

So as Sam celebrates their 31st birthday on Friday (May 19) Daily Star is taking a look inside their jaw-dropping net worth.

With countless platinum-selling hits, three worldwide tours and over over 45 billion streams under their belt – it’s fair to say Sam isn’t short of a few quid.

Per Celebrity Net Worth, Sam has an estimated net worth of £36 million ($45 million).

Their jaw-dropping fortune most likely comes straight from their successful music career that spans nearly a decade.

However, unlike their fellow pop stars, Sam has yet to branch off into other career fields, like acting or business, which eliminates other revenue avenues.

Sam’s climb to riches has been consistent to say the least – with the Unholy hitmaker bagging hefty amounts year after year.

But it’s also been rather impressive too – as estimates show there was no fortune note in 2012.

And the following year, Sam managed to bag over £1.2 million ($1.5 million), and then in 2014 their fortune jumped to £6.9 million ($8.7 million).

Fast forward to both 2015 and 2016, and the Brit-award-winning star had amassed over £16 million ($20 million).

But it’s not just album sales that have helped top up Sam’s bank account.

Money Nation reports that Sam earns the majority of their fortune by selling out their jaw-dropping concerts.

This makes up nearly half of the £36 million ($45 million) – with apparently over £16 million coming from ticket sales alone.

The sales of their albums and singles make up a nice chunk of change too – with over £10 million being earned since Smith released their debut album.

And back in 2020, when the world shut down due to Covid-19, Sam reportedly paid themselves a huge £3.8million – despite the epidemic leaving them unable to tour.

According to The Sun, the Grammy-award-winning artist banked £10,000 a day from their live music firm.

With all that dosh, it’s no surprise to hear Sam’s north London pad is rather extravagant.

The pop star resides in a reported £12million mansion in Hampstead, in which their celebrity neighbours include the likes of actor Jude Law and Oasis singer Liam Gallagher.

The home is surrounded by lush trees and shrubbery, boasts five-bedroom, is Grade II listed and comes complete with a pub.

They are also the owner of a country abode in Buckinghamshire.
