One star of Hot Yachts: Miami has had so many billionaire clients over the years that it’s hard to pick a favourite – but Nick Cardoza does remember the most expensive yacht he ever sold.
In the new Paramount+ series, the top yacht brokers in Florida come together for plenty of high-profile deals, and plenty of drama.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Nick refused to give the name of the boat as that would “give it away” – but he did tease: “It had a lot of features. It wasn’t just me selling it, there were other people involved. A lot of these deals are put together by a lot of different brokers at once.

“It was a lot. We had two tenders in the boat, we had a helicopter pad but no helicopter – we left that for somebody else.
“And one swimming pool, one large Jacuzzi; a lot of technology inside like automatic doors and a spa. But that’s as far as I’ll say!”
And speaking of his ‘most hated’ reputation, Nick says he’s “better than a lot” of people – so he “doesn’t care”.
He explained: “I just do me. I focus on my business, I work hard, I party hard, I don’t care.
“Like, every day is a new day and sometimes I travel a lot, sometimes I stay here. I’ve sold more boats here in Miami than I’ve sold collectively in a long time.
“I don’t know about my reputation, I work really hard. I just launched a new company, so people can think what they want. I’m still better than a lot of them!”
Nick originally earned his nickname Mr Yachts from “always talking about yachts” with pals, joking: “They used to make fun of me when I would walk into a room, saying, ‘oh here comes Mr Yachts!’ and it just kinda stuck.”

The star also isn’t afraid to steal a potential client from under another broker’s nose.
He admitted: “[I would] only under extenuating circumstances. I reserve that tactic for when other brokers p*** me off or don’t play nice.
“It’s like, the lion doesn’t eat the hyenas unless they p*** him off enough, then it’s all out war. I recently had a broker cut me out of a deal so I called the owner of every listing and gave them an offer they couldn’t refuse to give me their listing.
“I’ll broker a yacht for free just to f*** you back. Don’t play with me.”
