Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh ditched her makeup as she headed to the laundrette this weekend.
It seems the actress, who plays Tracy Metcalfe on the ITV soap, was taking a bit of a shortcut with her weekend chores to save her previous free time. She headed out to an aptly-named laundrette with her washing.
The 36-year-old uploaded a photo outside the business, which was named Soap Opera. She could be seen smiling, looking gorgeous as ever with her makeup-free face.

Amy wrote over the top of the photo: “A very apt name for our local laundrette. Hoping my makeupless face is enough of a disguise. Ain’t nobody got time to be washing and drying towels this weekend!”

And who can blame her for getting some help with her daily duties? The soap star welcomed her first child with her EastEnders actor husband Toby-Alexander Smith in December 2021.
Amy returned to work from maternity leave earlier this year. But she admitted she was hoping to spend more time with daughter Bonnie, even at work.
She told The Mirror this summer: “[Tracy] thinks it’s a good idea to open up a nursery in the village, so that’s me looking after more kids.” She went on: “It’ll be fun.

“I’ve actually asked if Bonnie can be an extra. Then I could see her a bit more! I don’t think that would be wise though.”
Amy and her new husband Toby-Alexander first got together in 2020. Their romance was fast-tracked a little, as they moved in together at the start of the Covid lockdown.
They then announced their engagement in August last year. The couple tied the knot in a ceremony this August.

They had their big day at a gorgeous 17th Century property in the mountains of Montenegro. They invited 100 of their nearest and dearest.
Amy’s sister, Girls Aloud songstress Kimberley Walsh, was one of her bridesmaids. And some of the couple’s soap star pals were in attendance too, with Shona McGarty giving a surprise performance.
