Strictly Come Dancing fans were all left saying the same thing – seconds into the latest results show airing.
The glitzy BBC One show returned to screens on Sunday night (December 3) for its results show. However, due to Nigel Harman quitting the show the day before, no celebrity was leaving this week.
Nigel was forced to quit the show on Saturday (December 2) due to him suffering an injury. This meant he and partner Katya Jones couldn’t participate in the live show. The pair were set to perform a Charleston to Step in Time from Disney’s Mary Poppins for the musicals edition of the show.

But fans were quick to share their complaints during Sunday’s results show (December 3). Plenty of them were questioning what is the point of the episode if no one is leaving.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “No point really having a show tonight if no one’s going home?” Someone else added: “Might as well switch if off, no reason to watch.” A third quipped: “What is the Point of this Results show that isn’t a result show?”
An official BBC spokesperson confirmed the news of Nigel Harman and Katya Jones’ departure, stating: “Unfortunately Nigel has sustained an injury which means he is unable to perform in tonight’s show and has had to withdraw from Strictly.”
Nigel made a special appearance in the studio on Saturday alongside Katya where he was given the opportunity to explain what had happened. He told show host Claudia Winkelman: “I was leaping off a rostrum and was about to be caught by some very handsome men and as I flew, I ‘Peter Panned’ as I landed and I was in A&E. So I’ve done something to my rib, basically and it’s quite painful. I’m a little bit high on painkillers as well, but I’m having a lovely time.”

Reflecting on his time on the show, he said: “I’ve loved it. I’ve loved it. And I am loving it. It’s too soon to say loved. This hasn’t really sunk in. When I watched everyone coming down the stairs I was a bit like ‘Oh! This is real! I’m not part of this any more’ and that was quite sad. And I’ve been avoiding Kat all day because that makes it really real as well.”
