ITV Deal or No Deal player concerned for Banker just weeks after new series launch

Deal or No Deal contestant Jane was left concerned about the Banker during the latest episode of the ITV game show.

Host Stephen Mulhern was back on television screens on Friday (December 22) with 22 red boxes and it was Jane’s turn in the hot seat. The lucky player brought a framed photograph of Donny Osmond up to the podium with her as she tried her luck to walk away with the £100,000 prize fund.

She didn’t have the most successful first couple of rounds, choosing several reds and the Banker’s first offer was £1,100. After being offered £3,500, £6,800 and £3,000, Jane eventually accepted a final offer of £1,600 when the last two boxes on the board were £2,000 and £750 – something Stephen described as “generous”.

Jane joked that she thought the Banker must’ve been “going soft” Prior to accepting the Banker’s last offer, Jane told Stephen: “I came with nothing and I’m walking away very, very rich after meeting all these wonderful people and you.”

At the start of her game, viewers threw their support behind Jane with one writing: “I sincerely hope that Jane wins big.” A second added: “The final #DealOrNoDeal player of the week is the lovely Jane who’s deaf and I wish her the very best of luck!” A third commented: “Hopefully she has the 100k. I think Jane will go to the end.” And a fourth shared: “Respect to Jane”.

It comes after Deal or No Deal contestant Brad Wale has hit a major milestone on his fundraiser after winning just £5 on the show. The 29-year-old player was left “heartbroken” after his “devastating” win of a £5 on the reboot of the classic show. However, viewers have since rallied behind him after he spoke of his Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis.

On Wednesday (December 6), he appeared on Good Morning Britain to speak about the reaction. His friend Rochelle set up a GoFundMe page called “Help Brad get his bucket list” after his Deal Or No Deal stint and following his appearance on GMB, it has skyrocketed, getting more than five times its intended goal. As of time of publication, generous viewers have raised more than £105,000 for Brad.

In the description, Rochelle says: “I’m sure you all saw Brads devastating game on Deal or No Deal. His DOND family really want him to fulfil his dreams and we have set this up on the hope that anyone could maybe spare a couple of pounds and get Brad to tick some bits off his Bucket List.”

And since the influx of donations, she shared an update. She thanked everyone, branding those who had dug deep “incredible”.She added: “You have changed Brad’s life and I will never be able to say thank you enough.” She went on to say: “You should all be so proud of yourselves for your kindness.”

Speaking on GMB, a grateful Brad said: “From last Thursday the response I have had is something I could never put into words, from the bottom of my heart it means the world and I can never say thank you enough. You’ll never understand how much this has changed my life.”

And he has big plans for his bucket list, which will now be made easier thanks to viewers’ generosity. He said: “I’ve always wanted to go to India, Thailand, just going to see places really I’ve also always wanted to do a bungee jump.

“Just to be able to wake up and think I can go and do this, or that. I’ve never had that I’ve always been skint. I feel honoured, blessed and guilty all at the same time, so to be given this kindness, to me, is just nothing I would ever expect.”
