80s icon Deniece Pearson thrilled after BBC Breakfast fans swoon over ‘ageless beauty’

Five Star singer Deniece Pearson has revealed the secrets behind her youthful looks.

The 80s icon spoke exclusively to the Daily Star as she promoted her new Christmas single ‘Santa Claus is Coming’. Earlier this year, the singer appeared on BBC Breakfast and sent fans wild of her young appearance.

Revealing to us how she achieved this, she explained: “I was so thrilled with what the viewers were saying about looking timeless and whatnot. I’d say just by staying happy, meditating with God, having that God energy because they do say when you give yourself time to rest, relent, relax, release, and you connect with the highest power that’s running the whole show. Your cells start to rejuvenate.

Deniece, 55, first shot to fame in the 80s band Five Star which she starred in with her four siblings. However, she is currently on a solo mission to get her Christmas single to the top of the charts.

Talking about her new track, Deniece said: “That dropped straight out of the heavens and onto my laptop. The lyrics came, the melody came, and I sent it out to my guys and then booked some studio time. We went and recorded the vocals and I’ve merged the Santa Claus, the fun side of Christmas, with the true meaning of Christmas. It also has my kids in a video and my ex-husband and my dad at the end. It’s very dear to me.”

Deniece also has some new music coming out in the new year, and an album in June titled Free Queens See. When asked if there are any collabs on there, she said: “No, it’s it’s me. The production is me, the writing is me and for the first time, it’s just all me, in my 40th year in the business. I think people are going to be quite surprised and I’d describe the sound as ‘pop-patois’.”
