Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder is reportedly related to ex-convict Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was released from prison on December 28.
My Family Genie star Dr Adina Newman posted on Instagram: “Who spent the whole day researching Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s family tree? [hands up emoji]. More specifically, I focussed on her maternal side and let me tell you, Cajuns and Acadians basically everywhere! If you know anything about [them], they are endogamous, a small founder population and keeping it within the family for generations.”

Newman then alleged that Gypsy and Stassi are related through their paternal grandmother. Adina said they are related in a “bazillion ways” and their closest relation “is through Antoine Bourg (c.1609-c.1987) and Antoinette Landry (c.1618-c.1693,” who are “progenitors of the Bourg line in Acadia”.
Adina then wrote: “Stassi and Gypsy Rose are at minimum 11th cousins, Stassi is 10th cousins once removed with Dee Dee,” who is Gypsy Rose’s mother. Clauddine Blanchard – her full name – was murdered by Gypsy Rose’s ex-boyfriend back in 2015.
Stassi saw the Instagram post and immediately commented: “[Oh my god], I’m unwell,” with a string of laughing face emojis, along with skulls and gravestones to imply she is “dead” from laughter, a popular internet term.
Newman simply wrote back that she “loves this for her” and added a red heart emoji to her message. However, the revelations didn’t stop there.
Adina went on to make a second post and unveiled that Gypsy and Stassi are also related to Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney, with Newman claiming that “Gypsy is 11th cousins once removed with Katie and 11th cousins with Stassie”.
Blanchard was already well known in the true crime community, but has quickly risen to social media fame following her recent release from prison where she served eight years of her 10 year sentence.
She was sent down for helping to plan and cover up the death of her mother Dee Dee, who is thought to have had Munchausen syndrome by proxy, which is classed as a psychological disorder that makes a caregiver want for sympathy.
Dee Dee fooled doctors, friends and loved ones into thinking that Gypsy was seriously ill with cancer and muscular dystrophy among other ailments, made her use a wheelchair and have an unnecessary feeding tube fitted.
