Michelle Keegan addresses huge move to America after Netflix fame in Fool Me Once

Michelle Keegan has teased a potential emigration to America after finding herself in a “golden moment” of her career.

In an interview with The Guardian, the former Coronation Street star has revealed that she would think about re-locating if the perfect role came along. Michelle told the newspaper: “I went to America when Mark was out there. Didn’t like it.

“But let’s see. If a job comes up… I guess?… I’ve never thought beyond what I’m doing right at that moment. And I think that’s how I live now as well. I don’t think in terms of goals. I live in the moment.”

The series follows Michelle dealing with the murder of her character’s husband, Joe Burkett (played by Richard Armitage). All seems normal, until the grieving widow sees her husband walking around on the nanny cam.

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their praise for the brunette beauty. One user wrote, “”The Ending of #FoolMeOnce and how f*cking unreal is Michelle Keegan though”.

Another added, “Michelle Keegan [killed] this role man. 10s across the board #FoolMeOnce “. However, it wasn’t just Keegan’s acting that impressed viewers.

The actress impressed viewers with her array of stunning outfits on Fool Me Once

Many shared their appreciation of Maya’s styling, praising the actress for her fashionable ‘fits. One X user shared: “The best thing about #FoolMeOnce is Michelle Keegan’s wonderful array of coats and jackets” – a tweet that now has over 23,000 views.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede told OK! that “all eyes are on” Michelle: “She’s really earned her acting stripes and she’s held her own as the lead performer in Fool Me Once against Joanna Lumley, who is known all over the world.

“It’s really given Michelle a platform to make her a major star. All eyes are on her at the moment because Netflix is watched by millions of people globally and her series is number one here and in the US.”

Nick went on to nod to Michelle’s possible move, adding: “She looks every inch the Hollywood leading lady and she has star quality. When some actors leave soaps, they go off into the wilderness but Michelle hasn’t done that.

“She’s shown she’s very versatile… As a Hollywood producer or director, you want somebody who’s the whole package – and that’s Michelle.”
