EastEnders Ben Mitchell exit plot ‘revealed’ in murder twist — but he ‘doesn’t kill Dean’

EastEnders fans reckon they have rumbled how Ben Mitchell is leaving the soap – and it’s not looking good for one Walford resident.

The character, played by Max Bowden, will be bowing out of the programme in the coming weeks. The actor made his soap debut in 2019 as Phil Mitchell’s son and during his stint, he has had some big storylines – including the character’s horrific rape ordeal in 2022.

Max was the sixth actor to play Ben – and became a hit with viewers since his first appearance. So much so, that he’s even scooped a few gongs for his portrayal.

But with Max’s last scenes due to be aired in upcoming weeks, viewers are convinced they know how he is going to leave the soap.

Over in Walford next week, Linda Carter’s son Johnny rocks up – and is desperate to help his alcoholic mother. Fans will recall how Linda has been on a downward spiral since the return of rapist Dean Wicks last year – followed by her killing Keanu Taylor at Christmas.

Furious that Dean is back, Johnny ends up confronting him and the pair fight in the street – with Johnny warning Dean to leave his mum alone. Later on, Ben and his beau Callum (Tony Clay) catch up with Johnny over a pint but the pair become concerned for their pal.

Ben then tells Johnny that he will get rid of Dean for good – while promising Callum that it will be legal and all above board. Now, soap viewers are certain they have rumbled how Ben is leaving the square.

While the majority of fans reckon Ben will end up killing Dean – others think differently. On X, one viewer said: “‘Ben Mitchell will end up murdering Dean Wicks’, I don’t see this happening. Dean is Shirley’s son and she’s already lost too much and the writers shouldn’t put her through more grief as she just lost Mick.”

Other fans have claimed that Ben could leave the square if Calum cheats on him with Johnny. One person penned: “Ben going to cheat on Callum again. This time with Johnny. I guess the affair will push Ben exit?.”

But in what would be a huge twist, another theory is that Ben could actually kill off his beau Calum – if he was to have a secret fling with Johnny. Replying to the X post, a viewer wrote: “Maybe he murders Callum because of his affair?”

It comes after Max teased his future following reports that he’s leaving the soap. A video believed to be the 29-year-old star, which was taken by a fan, m emerged online last week and he could be heard saying: “I’m so f*****g excited to get out” while he posed with bystanders outside Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
