Artificial Intelligence tool, Bard AI, told Daily Star that Ruby could end up leaving the village after exposing the affair because “she might feel she’s achieved her goal, leaving her with no further purpose in the village”. It added: “Knowing Caleb and Tracy’s volatile personalities, she might fear their revenge or the judgment of the villagers. Perhaps Ruby may crave a new beginning away from the drama and chooses to move on.”
However, there is a chance she could potential stay to resolve her “unfinished business” with Caleb, who lives in the village with their son Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope). It added: “There could be more to her story involving Caleb, Tracy, or other characters, prompting her to stick around. She might have formed friendships or romantic interests that keep her rooted in the village.
“Overcoming the drama could be an opportunity for personal development, encouraging her to stay and face the consequences. Emmerdale writers and producers will need to consider fan reactions, future story possibilities, and the actress’s availability.” Previously speaking about her role, Beth said: “I’m delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale, it’s an enormous privilege and Ruby is a dream role. She’s a firecracker and a trouble-maker and I think people will love her or hate her and I can’t wait to get stuck in with this fabulous cast.”
Producer Kate Brooks added: “Ruby is an absolute force of nature who sweeps through the village with scores to settle. Fiercely loyal to her family, Ruby will do anything and everything to protect her loved ones. Her relationship with Caleb is infused with intense passion that manifests itself as the ultimate volatile relationship. Ruby is a character who pulls no punches and always makes an impression. We’re delighted to welcome Beth to the show and we’re sure she’ll make a wonderful addition to the village.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm
