Tom Cruise’s daughter was spotted out and about celebrating her 18th birthday.
The starlet was seen in New York City wearing a pair of baggy blue jeans, a matching denim jacket, black trainers and a brown shirt. She wore her brunette locks in a middle parting with a loose updo to keep her hair out of her face.
Suri carried a bright pink umbrella to keep her and her friend sheltered from the rain as they walked through the city. She also carried a green gift bag covered with balloons and party hats, presumably with a gift inside.

The teenager recently turned 18 and celebrated in downtown Manhattan despite the gloomy weather. Her father, Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, was filming for an upcoming Mission Impossible movie thousands of miles away in the UK.

It has been reported that Suri is thought to have spent her milestone birthday with her mother, actress Katie Holmes. In recent years it has also been reported that Cruise and his daughter have an “estranged relationship” with the pair living apart for almost ten years.
After Tom and Katie decided to split, a bitter custody battle for Suri ensued and at the time of their breakup, she was just five years old. It is claimed that Tom and Suri have been estranged since 2013.

Katie was eventually given “sole custody” of Suri according to her parents’ divorce documents. Tom also agreed to pay his ex-wife $40,000 a month until Suri’s 18th birthday.
The Daily Mail reported that a source told them: “Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade. She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life.”
As for Suri’s future, it has been reported that the teen is applying for fashion colleges with a particular favour toward Fordham University in The Bronx. The Mirror reported that one insider claimed: “Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really does want her to stay in New York so they can be closer to each other. Katie take great pride in her but is also extremely overprotective.”
