Ghost hunter Yvette Fielding admits she mistook farts for spooks filming Most Haunted

Ghost hunter Yvette Fielding mistook farts for spooks on Most Haunted.

The hit show saw a team of paranormal investigators visit famous sites around the country looking for ghouls. TV presenter Yvette revealed sometimes things go wrong on camera, adding the ghostly farts were down to something else entirely.

Yvette, 55, confessed: “Things sometimes go wrong. We’ve got so many out-takes of a member of the team accidentally breaking wind, me thinking it’s a ghost and then screaming the place down.

“I love all that. It goes to the core of what Most Haunted is about.”

Yvette said that despite the serious nature of chasing spirits, they still had a laugh. She said: “Viewers might be forgiven for thinking because we contact dead people, some of whom suffered horrific pain and sadness, that there isn’t much fun to be had. The opposite is true.

“We’re always giggling and playing pranks on each other. Occasionally, I’ve had to be the sensible one if the others muck about, especially on live shows.

“Just before we went on air and walked on stage, the boys would start throwing water at each other’s crotches so that it looked like they’d wet themselves.

“They’d be in hysterics, but I would become a bit schoolmarmish. ‘Come on,’ I’d say. ‘What are you lot doing?’.”

Meanwhile, The Daily Star previously reported that a woman sparked a social media debate after claiming to have video evidence of her house being haunted, following her children’s questions about people in their rooms.

Kayla Samson recently went viral after sharing a clip of a fingerprint-activated door appearing to open on its own. She captured the incident on her Ring home security camera amid a series of bizarre events around her home.

Samson called it “the closest confirmation I have of the spirit world.” However, not everyone is convinced, with some viewers suggesting there might be a more plausible explanation.
