Ulrika Jonsson, 56, parades killer figure in tiny white bikini after Strictly confession

Ulrika Jonsson stripped down to a white bikini to deal with the heat.

The 56-year-old decided to parade around her house in her underwear to cope with the soaring temperatures across the UK this week. The ex-Gladiators host showed off her athletic figure in the tiny two-piece with frilled sleeves.

Ulrika tugged playfully on her underwear in the dining room, in a sizzling selfie posted to her Instagram Stories. She captioned the snap: “#hotpotato.”

The mum-of-four recently admitted she was lined up to host Strictly Come Dancing, which has been surrounded in scandal over the last few months. Ulrika revealed she had been keen to host the BBC show but lost out to Tess Daly because she was pregnant at the time.

The Swedish star had been just weeks away from giving birth. “I had no choice but to turn it down, which was heartbreaking,” she wrote in her Sun column.

The presenter explained how working women have to “pay a price” for having children. “My husband at the time would not have needed to turn down any work because he wasn’t the one who was pregnant,” she added.

Tess hosted Strictly alongside TV legend Bruce Forsyth before Claudia Winkleman replaced Bruce in 2014. And Ulrika had to fight “tooth and nail” to keep her job on Gladiators during the third series of the revived show.

She claimed the producers thought pregnant women were “too high risk”. She wrote: “They refused to let me host the last two weeks of international shows and they employed a midwife to follow me around with a chair so I could sit down between takes. I wasn’t ill. I was just six months pregnant.”

Ulrika added: “As women, if we take any extended time ”off work”, we risk falling behind on promotions or being considered for other roles. That is, if your employer hasn’t already written you off and cleared your desk by the time you go back.”
