Corrie Street legend Alan Halsall is back in the UK after his jungle stint on I’m A Celeb, and it was clear his family were happy to have him back as they shared a touching moment

Alan Halsall has been welcomed back to the UK after his I’m A Celebrity stint.

Coronation Street legend Alan, 42, touched down on Wednesday (December 11) after three weeks of jungle madness on the ITV reality show. Despite giving the show his best shot, it was not enough to impress the public, who voted him out with just two days to go until the final.

After a few days rest, where he was able to enjoy the lap of luxury once again, Alan headed back to the UK, landing after a long month away from his family. When he arrived, it was clear that the soap star missed his girl as he embraced his daughter in a touching moment.

The family gathered to welcome the ITV actor back at Manchester Airport after four weeks away from each other, with 11-year-old daughter Sienna-Rae rushing to give him a hug as he walked through the terminal. Alan himself was beaming with smiles as he gave a tight hug to his child, as Sienna-Raw burst into tears during the emotional reunion.

A second snap of the star saw him pose for a family photo together with other members of his clan. Holding his daughter tight, Alan looked thrilled to be back home so he can get back to his creature comforts and get back to his job on the cobbles of Coronation Street.

Doting daughter Sienna-Rae had been watching the show intently while father Alan was still in the jungle, penning a letter to her dad that managed to reach camp during his time down under. In emotional scenes that aired over the series, Alan broke down in tears as Sienna’s letter was read out by presenter and DJ Melvin Odoom.

Welling up as he heard his daughter’s touching tribute, Melvin read: “To daddy, I love you and I miss you so much. I’m really excited to see you when you come out and give you the biggest cuddle in the world.”

She also cheekily asked if dad Alan could help put up the Christmas tree when he returned from his jungle adventure – something he was more than happy to do. She also asked if he was excited for the big day yet, before writing that she just wanted him to be back home with her as soon as possible.

It comes as Alan continues to celebrate his contract being renewed for Coronation Street for another year. The actor, who plays the role of Tyrone Dobbs, has been a part of the regular cast since he first joined the soap all the way back in 1998.

Now, it has been revealed that Tyrone is not going anywhere as Alan’s contract has been renewed, meaning he will be featuring in episodes throughout the entirety of 2025. Speaking to The Sun, Alan said he was “thrilled” with the happy news after his I’m A Celebrity stint.

“To know that I’ve got a contract that will take me through that is incredibly humbling and proud for me and also proud for my family, being from Salford, growing up Coronation Street fans,” he beamed. “I’m thrilled to bits; that’s the job I love, so long may it continue – I’ll maybe have a couple of pints of Guinness to toast it.”
