The Chase’s Beast star Mark Labbett has lost a whopping 10 stone and has been fending off accusations of using fat loss injections to get him down to 19-and-a-half stone
The Beast star Mark Labbett has confessed his bosses at The Chase were left concerned with his weight loss. But it wasn’t because of his new healthier habits.
The brainiac ITV star has dropped 10 stone in recent years. He now weighs around 19-and-a-half stone after splitting from his blonde bombshell girlfriend recently.
And his new slimmed down look caught the eye of bosses at ITV, who were worried what it meant for The Beast. Mark, 59, is known as one of the more scary Chasers on the Bradley Walsh show.
He confessed: “Someone quite senior at ITV said to me, ‘Are you sure if you’re down to 20st you will be as scary?’ But I’ve still got a pretty huge set of shoulders on me, and I’m still going to be way bigger than the average person.”
Mark has also been fending off accusations that he’s had help with surgery or injections. But he’s happy to get his kit off on TV to prove the doubters.
“I’m quite happy to go on Loose Women and take my shirt off with one of the TV doctors and say, ‘See if you can find the gastric band scar, because you won’t,'” he told The Sun.
Instead, he says he’s been losing weight “slowly”.
Despite looking better than ever, Mark is in no rush to start dating again. The television star had been dating presenter Hayley Palmer for a year but split up a few months ago.
Hayley had been Mark’s first relationship since splitting from wife Katie in 2020. He and Katie are yet to get officially divorced, with Mark saying it’s just because he’s “on the lazy side”.
But rather than rush back into a relationship, Mark is enjoying the single life. He joked: “Let’s just say I’m able to watch a lot more sport than I used to.”
