Reason Stacey Solomon’s mum is missing from family reality show exposed

Stacey Solomon let her fans into her life with her latest BBC TV show together with darling hubby Joe Swash and the reason why her mum was not in the picture has now been revealed

Stacey Solomon has given the reason why her mum is missing from her latest TV show.

Former X Factor star Stacey, 35, is going from strength to strength after her BBC TV show Stacey & Joe, with her net worth continuing to skyrocket. This comes despite the fact that fans were not won over by the TV show, leading to its likely axing by the BBC – as well as a large-scale fight that erupted resulting in hubby Joe Swash spending the night in a hotel.

But while the odds may be stacked against the show’s renewal, fans of the Loose Women star were keen to see how the star lives her everyday life. But one person who was not seen at all since the start of the show is Stacey’s mother.

Despite being an integral part to the family, Stacey and Joe kept her mum Fiona out of the picture, despite appearances from her dad Dave and grandmother Gwen. As well as this, the pair’s five children – Rex, Rose, Belle, Zachary and Leighton, all of which coming from previous relationships – all make major cameos in the show.

Now, the reason behind Fiona’s unwillingness to get in front of the camera has been revealed. According to sources, Fiona is a rather private person and wants to keep herself away from the spotlight altogether.

Stacey rarely speaks much about her mother online, but in 2017, Fiona did go on Loose Women to speak about her relationship with her daughter. Getting emotional, Fiona said about a teenage Stacey: “I got to a stage where I thought, ‘What have I done, I must have been a terrible mother.’

“It wasn’t just Stacey, I have another daughter; both my girls went through teenage years, it really was -tearaways,” she continued. “Stacey was the one who always got into trouble and always got caught; she bunked off school and got detention.”

Eventually, Stacey’s behaviour got so bad that Fiona and Dave resorted to removing her from school and sending her to stay with her darling grandmother. According to Fiona, “she knew exactly what to do to put her in line.”

It comes after the pair had a huge blowout argument over the phone in the latest instalment of the six-part reality series. In the tense scenes, Stacey and Joe went at each other after she revealed she was not happy with allowing the kids to eat in the family’s front room.

She explained that when she returned, she saw that “about 10 baked beans” had been spilled onto the sofa, causing an absolute mess. Former EastEnders star Joe explained: “They had beans on toast while they were watching Bluey.”

Stacey then chastised him for not thinking of the easiest place to feed their children, to which Joe shot back: “I’m not you! I’m not you! You go on like you’ve never ever give the kids food in the front room, which would be a lie.”

Things would go on to escalate between the two, resulting in the pair furiously hanging up on each other. Joe added: “Your reaction to me giving the kids beans on toast on the sofa is an overreaction.

“Stace you’re out of order; I spent the day looking after the kids,” he added. “I’m done; I’m done with this conversation, have a lovely evening.”
