Ex-Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has hit the headlines recently after making the decision to put her lavish family home on the market – but now, she’s reportedly “struggling” with her new reality.

The TV star, known as a successful actress and model and for her past relationship with ex-beau Scott Sinclair, was once at the top of her game, allegedly raking in a whopping £3.5 million per annum.

But after getting engaged to Scott in 2018, everything looked rosy for the Coronation Street beauty; fast forward through three kids and a called-off engagement, things have taken quite a turn for Helen.

Spellbinding fans with her genuine openness, Helen recently confided that she’s had to put her plush eight-bedroom home on the market as it’s become too much for her wallet. To add to the drama, the star found herself stripped of her driving privileges when her Audi was clocked speeding twice last June.

Despite heartfelt appeals to the court in January, detailing “exceptional hardship” due to the cost of cabs for ferrying her kids around, the ban was imposed.

Struggling to make ends meet, the mum-of-three confessed that she’s far from the flush life many believe she leads, stressing she couldn’t afford regular taxis for her son Charlie’s nursery trips. Being candid, she lamented: “I think there might be a perception maybe that I would easily be able to afford a driver but that’s quite far from the case. I’ve got enough money in my account to pay off my tax and my VAT and basically that’s about it.”

When quizzed by the press, she revealed that an Uber trip to the nursery racks up a hefty £10 tab: “If I was doing that all the time it would be very, very expensive for me,” reported the Evening Standard. She also mentioned how essential her motor is for shuttling the kids to meet their dad, footie ace Scott Sinclair, at a Birmingham service stop when they’re off to visit him, reports the Mirror.

When pressed about discussing alternative travel plans with Sinclair for the children’s visits, Flanagan expressed: “No, I haven’t. I’ve got a very difficult relationship with my ex-partner. It’s very, very draining.”

Her defence barrister pleaded with the court on behalf of the Coronation Street celeb, insisting: “She is a single mother of three children and she is doing her best. I would invite you to look at this case on the cold, hard facts of who is in front of you and I would invite you to find that exceptional hardship is a real possibility.”
