JoJo Siwa reportedly broke up with partner Kath Ebbs hours after the final, but now Kath has acknowledged the claim that JoJo could have been falling in love in front of viewers
JoJo Siwa’s former partner has seemed to suggest the singer might have been “falling in love” on the show.
The Dance Moms star, 21, has become the centre of attention after she broke up with her partner Kath Ebbs hours after leaving Celebrity Big Brother. The Karma singer has left viewers and housemates guessing on what her relationship is with Chris Hughes, who has already introduced her to his friends.
Over the course of the show, viewers were left confused as Love Island star Chris and Karma singer JoJo formed a close bond. The pair became inseparable during the show, sparking romance rumours when they were seen cuddling and snuggling.
JoJo and Kath reportedly broke up with each other at the ITV show’s afterparty. The split left Kath – who flew to the UK from Australia to be reunited with their partner – “humiliated”, and the pair were seen leaving their London hotel separately.
Now, days after the show ended, Kath has hinted that they felt romance was brewing between her ex and Chris in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Kath cryptically suggested that the Yesterday’s Tomorrow’s Today singer had “fallen in love” with Chris over the course of the show.
A fan of content creator Kath shared a video of their thoughts on the couple’s surprise split, explaining: “Imagine watching your partner fall in love with someone else in real time. Cannot even begin to fathom that.”
Uploading the video to TikTok, the video garnered thousands of views and likes. One of the likes, however, came from Kath themselves, which suggests that they agreed with the sentiment, according to the Daily Mail.
JoJo and Chris have insisted that their relationship is entirely platonic, despite raised eyebrows from some of the pair’s CBB co-stars. JoJo’s revelation of no longer being a lesbian and instead identifying as queer also prompted a cryptic response from her now-former partner.
Speaking about her identity with co-star Danny Beard, she reflected: “I feel so queer. I think I’ve always told myself, ‘I’m a lesbian’, but I think being here – I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer.
“And I think that’s really cool, I’m switching letters!” she beamed. “I’ve dropped the L and I’ve gone to the Q baby! That’s what I love about sexuality.”
Shortly after JoJo made her statement, Kath took to her Instagram to share a photo of two women at a protest holding a sign. The sign read: “A day without lesbians is like a day without sunshine.”
Despite Chris and JoJo insisting they are just friends, fans are now certain that Chris and JoJo are about to confirm they are dating after JoJo dumped Kath, with one writing: “No one could’ve predicted JoJo Siwa was going to break up with her partner and realise she wasn’t a lesbian because she met – and developed feelings for – CHRIS F*****G HUGHES from Love Island on Celeb Big Brother. Literally not a single soul could’ve imagined this reality.”
Meanwhile a second user added: “Sorry, I just can’t get my head round the fact Chris Hughes from Love Island and JoJo Siwa are romantically involved. What timeline am I living in?”
Speaking in an interview with This Morning on Monday (April 28), JoJo revealed that she would be leaving the UK to head back to America that day. She also reiterated that there were no romantic feelings with Chris, despite the ongoing rumours.
