Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney was among the first to arrive at the 2025 Met Gala, snatching attention in a bejewelled Miu Miu gown that exuded glamour
Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney looked incredible at the 2025 Met Gala.
The 27-year-old rocked up to the annual event in a Miu Miu gown which was dripping with jewels, just weeks after reports that her relationship with film producer Jonathan Davino was over. The floor-length look was completely covered in crystallised fringe, with her shoulders a focal point.
The delicate gown was cinched at the waist, accentuating the blonde bombshell’s hourglass curves. It featured a slight train, with the dress looking like a twinkling night sky.
Up at the top was a peephole at the chest, with statement metal clasp at the neck. She kept the rest of the look simple, with the dress doing all the talking.
Sydney wore her honey blonde locks in a tight bun, with some strands curled and placed on her forehead.
As for makeup, she went with a soft glossy lip and fluttering lashes. She added a statement liner under her doe eyes, giving a stunning vintage style.
The White Lotus star kept her jewellery simple too, going for just a few silver rings and drop-stud earrings.
Speaking to Vogue at the big event, Sydney said: “This is my third time going with Miu Miu. I feel like they bring such beautiful stories to every dress.”
She mentioned actor Colman Domingo, 55, who is one of the co-chair’s of this year’s Met Gala.
The duo are working together on upcoming film Scandalous, which is Colman’s directing debut.
Sydney is set to play Kim Novak in the film, which will look at the interracial relationship between Rat Pack singer Sammy Davis Jr and Kim.
She honoured Kim with her Met Gala look, who wore a very similar look in The Legend of Lylah Clare in 1967.
Sydney said: “We wanted to bring that to life.”
The theme of this year’s Met Gala is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, bringing a focus to menswear for the first time in longer than two decades.
