Five new Unplugged recordings of Oasis classics will feature on 30th anniversary edition of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?. Noel has reworked Wonderwall and others for an Autumn release available in various formats.
NEW Oasis recordings will feature on a 30th anniversary edition of the band’s era defining album, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?
Ahead of the reunion tour the Gallagher brothers have put together a huge celebratory repackage – out in the autumn – including five new unplugged versions of classics Cast No Shadow, Morning Glory, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Acquiesce – the latter is out now accompanied by a new visualiser.
The new unplugged versions are reworks of the original master recordings with additional instrumentation by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho that was recorded this year at Noel’s studio, Lone Star Sound, in London.
Fans can pre-order limited edition 2CD and various 3LP formats including sepia marble and neon orange vinyl versions ahead of the October 3 release date. The album has sold 22 million copies globally making it the third biggest UK album of all time.
To get audiences in the mood for the concerts, the band’s label Big Brother Recordings have also launched the Oasis Live ‘25 Map Experience. Built with Google Maps the immersive and interactive location-based platform allows fans to explore each tour stop through curated hotspots including landmarks tied to the band’s history, Interactive features include AR experiences with exclusive content offered throughout the tour and fans are also invited to capture their stories using YouTube Shorts.
