One Loose Women panellist is said to be packing up her life and moving abroad while recovering from a recent health scare, which happened over a “tough couple of years”
A Loose Women icon is moving abroad after a “near-death experience”.
Former panellist Andrea McLean, who was a regular on the ITV show from 2007 to 2020, revealed in February that she had been hospitalised with severe pneumonia, acute kidney injury and sepsis after suffering flu-like symptoms in December 2024.
However, she recently told fans that she was “feeling really good” as she continues to recover. As part of her recovery, one of Andrea’s business ventures came to an end with her lifestyle and wellness brand, This Girl Is On Fire, being dissolved in February.
Andrea is now said to be focusing on her writing career as she seeks a fresh start, with The Sun reporting that she’s planning to relocate to Spain.
A source told the outlet: “It’s been a tough couple of years and the business never financially recovered. Andrea made the decision to dissolve the business officially earlier this year.”
They added that she’s now preparing for a “new life” abroad with her husband Nick Feeney, who she married in 2017, and her two children from previous relationships. The insider revealed that following her health scare Andrea is now “focused on what really matters”, prioritising her loved ones and close relationships, reports the Mirror.
They stated: “She’s in a really good place, positive, loved up with Nick still, her kids are all grown up so she’s happy and making life work for her.”
In an interview published in April, Andrea shared how her hospitalisation had prompted her to reassess her life. She said: “There are rarely second chances in this life, so as I began to regain my strength I knew I had to seize the day and focus on what I really want to do.”
Andrea added: “I very nearly died. That scary, horrible moment was a turning point, it has led to now and I am feeling really positive about where I am going.”
