Singer dies after falling off truck in horror accident as loved ones pay tribute

A young singer, who was the member of a musical duo, has died in a horrifying accident involving a truck and his manager led tributes to the star online

A young singer has sadly died after a terrifying incident with a truck.

Singer Felipe Silva fell off the back of a pickup truck and sustained a head injury, which unfortunately resulted in his death just two days later. The musician was in a country music duo with friend Raphael Sousa.

The group, Felipe & Raphael, were an up and coming double act before Felipe’s untimely death.

He was rushed to hospital after falling from the vehicle in the Brazilian city of Araguaina. Local news outlet Metropoles reported that the star was sitting in a parked truck when someone suddenly started the engine.

The country music star jolted and lost his balance, which caused him to fall and hit his head on the hard ground. Felipe’s manager said that he was treated for brain swelling at a local hospital.

The group had played their first show together back in April and the artists were planning to release their first EP this year. After it was confirmed that he had died, the group’s official Instagram page issued a heartbreaking statement.

Written in Portuguese, they said: “Today, with broken hearts, we share that our beloved Felipe is no longer with us. He’s gone, gone too soon. Now he’s with the Creator, in the heaven he so often looked to with hope, with his light soul and his voice eternally alive.”

The group’s manager also paid tribute to the star(Image: @felipeeraphaelofc/Instagram)

“Today the day didn’t dawn as we expected. It was supposed to be another chapter of a beautiful project, full of dreams, courage and music. A project by the duo Felipe & Raphael, which was born from the heart and true friendship, filled with talent, faith and a strong desire to win.”

Their manager also took to Instagram to write: “Felipe is no longer with us physically, and this pain is difficult to put into words but what remains, forever, is what he left on our stages, backstage, in rehearsals, in conversations, and in our dreams.”

“The duo Felipe & Raphael was born with a purpose and a flame that he helped to ignite and this flame, now, will be kept alive by all of us.”
