Singer Connie Francis has died at the age of 87, just as her song Pretty Little Baby has gone viral on TikTok. She died after having recently been in hospital, with the sad news being confirmed by her friend Ron Roberts.
Ron wrote on Facebook: “It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night. I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Connie had been in the intensive care unite after experiencing “extreme pain”. The pain, in her pelvis, saw her needing to use a wheelchair. It meant she had to drop out of a show on July 4.

However her legacy is already living on, with her song Pretty Little Baby going viral as a sound on TikTok.
People have been using it as a background song for their videos, while more recently others have been attempting difficult vocal riff cover versions.
It was released in 1962, meaning its boom in popularity is coming more than 60 years after.
Connie said in May that she was “thrilled” and “overwhelmed” by the song’s comeback.
She said: “I recorded that song 63 years ago and to know that an entire new generation now knows who I am, and my music, is thrilling for me. Thank you so much everybody, thank you TikTok.”
However she confessed to People that she “didn’t even remember the song”.
She said: “I had to listen to it to remember.
“To think that a song I recorded 63 years ago is touching the hearts of millions of people is truly awesome. It is an amazing feeling.”
