Katie Price has opened up on her daughter Princess’ 18th birthday party, after she was seen jetting off to Ibiza and Dubai while her eldest daughter celebrated at home
Reality star Katie Price has taken another swipe at her ex, Peter Andre, disclosing that their daughter Princess has left her nest.
The 47-year-old former glamour model made the startling revelation that she was excluded from Princess’s 18th birthday bash earlier this month.
Speculation was rife that Katie had missed her daughter’s significant birthday after jetting off to Ibiza and Dubai, while Princess partied in the UK. Katie later contended that she was barred from the festivities because Princess is currently working on a documentary.
Princess is stepping into the limelight with her own burgeoning showbiz career, securing an ITV series for herself. Opting to document her birthday on camera meant Katie couldn’t be present, as the project is under the banner of her ex-husband Peter’s production company.
The upcoming programme will delve into Princess’s life alongside her father Peter, stepmother Emily, and brother Junior. Can Associates, the firm responsible for Katie and Pete’s lucrative ITV reality series, is now at odds with Katie.
As a result of the filming schedule, Princess has relocated from Katie’s residence to stay with her father. Katie shared on her podcast, ‘The Katie Price Show’, that she’s experiencing an ’empty nest’ with Princess at Pete’s and son Junior living in a flat with his girlfriend, reports the Mirror.
“I am not even allowed to breathe near the documentary, she has been predominantly staying at her dads while she is filming,” Katie vented on her podcast.
She clarified that her daughter will be returning to live with her, stating: “Princess will live with me it’s only because she has been filming that she has been at Pete’s because I am not allowed anywhere near it. She has only got about two weeks left of filming.”
In a previous instalment of her podcast, Katie didn’t hold back in criticising her ex Pete regarding their daughter. She remarked sarcastically: “Princess is now officially an adult so mummy and Princess can now go out together. If certain people would let her be seen with me.”
The mother of five expressed her frustration, saying: “Everyone knows she’s doing this documentary – and I’m not in it. Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me.”
Her sister Sophie suggested: “You aren’t on brand Katie. You are too risky Katie that’s why,” to which Katie retorted: “It’s pathetic. I’m her mother.”
She continued: “It’s so sad. When certain people who used to look after me are now looking after..”
Katie also shared the reason she missed Princess’ birthday party, venting: “I’m just saying. Princess was like ‘I’m having a party’. And I wasn’t invited because it was for ‘filming.'”.
Sophie responded with sarcasm: “Oh of course it was!” and Katie snapped back: “Of course mummy wasn’t invited because it was for filming.”
She continued: “The fact is there’s stuff my daughter is doing and I’m not allowed to be seen at any of it. Certain people who are filming Princess’ documentary used to do my filming. It’s fine, it’s just there’s always conflict of interest. People will cotton on to this. So we do have to do something for Princess’ 18th.”
