Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan discussed his relationship with fellow ITV star Phillip Schofield on this morning’s show.
The 54-year-old talked about claims he had taken a “swipe” at the This Morning presenter amid last week’s NTAs win.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip scooped up the award for Best Live Magazine Show on the night, beating GMB yet again.
Piers said he had no hard feelings towards Phillip – though he insisted on doing a high-pitched impression of the duo accepting their award.
Susanna Reid remarked: “Apparently you’re at war with one of the daytime stars. Don’t forget we’re all one big happy family!”
Before adding “poor Pip”.
Piers explained: “By the way, everyone’s making explosive digs at Phillip Schofield. It seems to be open-season on old Schoers.
“Just for the record, I have no problem with Phillip Schofield.”
Discussing his initial reaction to the award, the controversial GMB host said it wasn’t “an explosive outburst.”

He went on: “It sounds like an expression of admiration for work colleagues who work at the same building. No one – no one – I can tell you, admires them more for winning 10 NTAs than me.”
As a clip of Holly and Phil from the awards show played, Piers did an impression of Holly’s surprised reaction, saying: “Oh us!”
Piers also took a swipe at Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s continued success at the awards show, continuing his Holly and Phil impression.

In the same high-pitched tone, he said: “Did our agent win it for us again? Oh is it the same agent as Ant and Dec? Did they win it for us again?”
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
