Love Island’s Amy Hart fights back tears as she pays tribute to Caroline Flack

Love Island babe Amy Hart was left fighting back her tears as she reminisced about ‘amazing’ Caroline Flack in a touching Good Morning Britain interview.

The former ITV2 dating show contestant, 26, remembered the late Love Island host, who was found dead last Saturday aged 40, at her new London flat.

Speaking on the TV show about her new venture on Celebs Go Dating, Amy thanked Caroline for being a “huge part” of one of her biggest experiences.

She admitted Caroline became her shoulder to cry on after she was famously snubbed by her ‘half-boyfriend’ Curtis Pritchard in an emotional showdown last summer.

Amy shared some loving memories of Caroline, including one where she “squeezed her hand” after the Casa Amor meltdown.

She said: “She was a huge part of the biggest thing that’s happened in my life. She was amazing from putting us all at ease on the first day.”

“When I came back from Casa Amor she was squeezing my hand telling me to shut up because I was baring my soul when I really shouldn’t have been.”

Admitting that Caroline also gave her a piece of advice after she was skyrocketed to fame upon her exit from the sun-soaked Spanish villa, Amy said they ‘talked through everything’.

She continued: “And then at Aftersun she sat me down at the afterparty and talked me through everything – how to move forward and what the industry’s like.”

Caroline also had an extremely friendly side as Amy revealed the former Love Island host contacted her pal after she received a series of death threats from vile trolls.

The TV host encouragingly told Amy’s pal to ‘ignore them and move on’ as she lent a piece of advice on how to cope with receiving backlash in the spotlight.

Amy finished her tribute by insisting Caroline went “above and beyond” to ensure the islanders were all ok.

Sadly, Caroline’s devastated family announced the tragic news of her passing on Saturday, in a statement which read: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.

“We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”
