Keith Lemon pays heartbreaking tribute to Caroline Flack with charity T-shirt design

The nation’s most loved funnyman Keith Lemon has spoken up in the wake of Caroline Flack’s death, wanting to use his creativity to release something in her honour.

Keith, who also designs T-shirts, created a touching tribute to his friend Caroline and has vowed 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity Samaritans.

Caroline was tragically found dead in her North London flat last weekend, having taken her own life.

Her longtime friend Keith Lemon spoke out on his Instagram account this week about wanting to do something in his friend’s memory.

He said: “So someone on Twitter said wouldn’t it be great to do a festival for Flack. Which I thought was a great idea. I don’t know how it would work or what I could do?

“But then I thought what can I do? Well ya know I do T-shirts? I do T-shirts. I thought the least I can do is draw her a t-shirt where all the proceeds go to mental health.”

Sharing an image of a black and white drawing of the 40-year-old star, with the slogan “Be Kind”, he wrote: “All the recent events just seemed so unreal. I’d been friends with Caroline for many years. Since before telly happened.

“In more recent times I’d not seen Caroline as much as I had years ago, but it was always like old times when I saw her.”

Sharing his creation and letting fans know how to obtain his tribute design, while donating to a worthy cause, he penned: “I did this T-shirt to spread Caroline’s own words #Bekind, and to raise money for the Samaritans.

“100% of profits will go to @samaritanscharity and the link is in my bio or tap the pic.

“Will miss you Flack. Love to your family x.”

Celebrities flocked to their official accounts to spread the word but also commended Keith for the kind gesture, including Davina McCall, Laura Whitmore, Louise Redknapp, Emily Atack and Fearne Cotton.

Keith, whose real name is Leigh Francis, had worked with Caroline back in 2002, when she played Bubbles the monkey of Michael Jackson, on the hit TV series Bo’ Selecta.

Caroline later went on to work in children’s television and then hosted the spin-off show of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! before obtaining a co-presenting role on the X Factor in 2011.

In 2015, Caroline bagged herself the biggest hosting role on ITV2’s matchmaker programme Love Island and devoted five years to the love finding show.
