Ant and Dec blunder sends Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield into meltdown

This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield hosted yet another Spin To Win segment today, with viewers calling with hopes of winning a cash prize.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when one caller mistook Anton Du Beke for “Ant and Dec”.

New mum April nabbed £500 in round one of the competition, before gearing up to win the wacky spot prize.

Holly showed off a jar of Jeremy Corbyn’s damson jam, saying: “It’s signed by him, it was bottled by him and it could be coming to you.”

In order to win, April needed to answer the quickfire question correctly – which Saturday night TV show features Anton Du Beke?

Spin To Win descended into chaos on today’s show, while Holly and Phil tried their best to flog Jeremy Corbyn’s jam

Professional dancer Anton is a familiar face on Strictly Come Dancing , having appeared on the show since 2004.

Sadly, April – who just gave birth to her newborn babe last Friday – answered with “Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway”.

Holly and Phillip were devastated to keep the jam to themselves, as April announced: “Put it down to baby brain.”

Ant and Dec famously host Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV

Taking to Twitter, This Morning fans were in stitches over the miscommunication, realising the similarity between the two names.

On laughed: “As if she said Ant and Dec.”

“Anton du Beke’s Saturday Night Takeaway,” another joked.

And a third agreed: “Well that was funny…”

However, one good thing comes from the hilarious Ant and Dec blunder – Jeremy Corbyn’s berry jam is still up for grabs.

As Holly remarked: “You could get to win the jam!”

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
