Coronavirus crisis sees Made in Chelsea's Jamie Laing hit out at panic buyers

Made in Chelsea Star Jamie Laing has taken to his official Instagram page to hit out at panic buyers for leaving vulnerable people without supplies.

Speaking out he urged fans to be ‘generous’, ‘kind’ and ‘thoughtful’ after he had stumbled across a devastating image that saw a helpless elderly man surrounded by empty supermarket shelves.

Reality star Jamie couldn’t help be feel “sad” at the sight of the image as the pensioner looked disorientated while continuing to check his list for further items that didn’t seem to be on the shelves.

Jamie’s message comes just days after it was declared that the virus has now become a global pandemic, with many European countries closing their borders.

“I understand individuals are panicking and mostly thinking about themselves which is human nature but it’s still important to remember we’re all in this situation together.”

Hitting out at those taking more goods than they could manage, he added: “If you are taking more than you need please remember there are others who potentially haven’t got anything.

“Be generous, be kind, be thoughtful and let’s begin to help each other.”
