'RHOA': Kandi Burruss Says She Doesn't Talk to NeNe Leakes After Her Abrupt Exit During Reunion

    Instagram

Additionally, the Xscape singer explains that the producers edited out NeNe’s call in part 3 of season 12 reunion of the Bravo reality show following her premature exit.
    May 26, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kandi Burruss offers some more details about NeNe Leakes’ premature exit during ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 12 reunion. Speaking to HollywoodLife.com in an episode of TVTalk on Instagram Live, Kandi shared what wasn’t shown on the show following NeNe’s exit.
“You saw [Marlo Hampton] did try to reach out to her, [Porsha Williams] did, but she did not come back to the computer but she was calling us on speakerphone,” the Xscape singer said. “Now what they didn’t show you [on TV] was we could actually hear what she was saying [at the time of filming], but they did not play her voice [from] the phone [on TV].”
As for why the producers decided to edit it out, Kandi shared, “I [don’t] know why they didn’t want to play what she was saying.”
NeNe left the reunion at the end of Part 2, and she tried to talk to everyone on speakerphone during a private phone call with Porsha. “Why are you calling us on speaker phone, but you don’t want to talk to us [on video]? It didn’t make sense,” Kandi stated. “So that was what you didn’t see was that we were actually able to hear her talking on the speakerphone for a short period of time until [Andy Cohen] was like, ‘No, uh uh, we’re just going to go forward [without her].’ ”
Kandi went on saying that filming the reunion was exhausting. “Overall, I think that the funny thing was all of us were exhausted. We were pretty much exhausted after the reunion,” she divulged.

Following the reunion, Kandi shared that she didn’t keep in contact with other ladies. “We didn’t talk that much,” she explained. “I briefly spoke to Marlo, I think, and I briefly spoke to Kenya for a short period of time, but really, everybody was just so exhausted. Sitting in front of a computer all day is exhausting. Since the reunion, NeNe and I haven’t talked at all.”

Guy Sebastian: 'The Voice Australia' Judges Are Unable to Resolve Massive Arguments Due to COVID-19

    Nine Network

Addressing the incident that resulted in one of the show’s famous mentors storming off set, the ‘Battle Scars’ singer hints that it was instigated by either Kelly Rowland or Delta Goodrem.
    May 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – “The Voice” Australia coaches are at loggerheads after one of the show’s famous mentors stormed off set, according to Guy Sebastian.
The singer-songwriter sits on the panel of the popular TV talent contest, alongside Boy George, Kelly Rowland, and Delta Goodrem, and he told Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald “there’s unresolved feelings” following the “massive argument”.
While the former Australian Idol star mentioned the incident was instigated by one of the “girls”, he did not specify whether it was Delta or Kelly.
Guy said the judges haven’t been able to see each other face-to-face since the dispute, so the issue has yet to be resolved.
“I’m not one of those people who can go, ‘Oh, what happens on the set stays on the set’, I don’t believe that,” he told the publication. “Whenever there’s an argument, or it gets personal and nasty, I withdraw and I struggle to get over it.”
The Voice filmed the blind audition stage of the show before the COVID-19 crisis was declared a pandemic in March.
Earlier this month, it was reported Kelly and Boy George may be replaced by stand-in coaches, or they could mentor their acts virtually while remaining in America and England, respectively.

'RHOA': Kenya Moore Claims NeNe Leakes' Olive Branch Is Covered in Poison Ivy

    Instagram

During part 3 of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion, the former Miss USA insists that she has proofs that she tried to reach out to her castmate when her husband Gregg was battling cancer.
    May 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kenya Moore has accused NeNe Leakes of being fake. During the third part of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion, the former Miss USA found herself being grilled about her ongoing disputes with her castmate, forcing her to get candid about why she appeared “unwilling” to accept the latter’s extended olive branch.
In the Sunday, May 24 edition, host Andy Cohen pointed out to Kenya that NeNe tried to talk to her at two different occasions, at the bowling event and during a dinner in Greece, without avail. When asked to clarify, the 49-year-old said, “Because I know it was all fake and phony because of our history. And I can see a fake a mile away. So why should I accept an olive branch if it’s covered in poison ivy?”
During the chat, Kenya was also asked if she reached out to NeNe when her husband Gregg was battling cancer. Though Marlo Hampton claimed the actress did not do so, Kenya insisted that she did. “I did. Absolutely, and I have the text messages to prove it,” she claimed.
“The Celebrity Apprentice” alum went on to elaborate, “I have the missed phone calls to prove it. She never asked me about myself [during my difficult pregnancy]. And I look at all of that, and I just said, ‘You know what. This lady is not for me.’ ”
When Andy asked Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey what initiated the feud between Kenya and NeNe, Kandi responded by admitting, “Honestly, I don’t know anymore.” She added, “They’ve been arguing for so long that I’m not sure where it all started.” Cynthia shared similar sentiment as she stated, “I’m not sure either.”
The former model, however, did point out, “I do know that when we started filming this season, Nene was very interested in meeting up with Kenya. Maybe she was trying to make amends with or whatever her reasons, but I do know that Nene wanted to meet up with Kenya.”
Elsewhere during the reunion, Gail “Yovanna” Momplaisir made an appearance to address the “#SnakeGate.” Accusing NeNe of being the mastermind behind the secret taping of Cynthia’s private conversation, Gail said, “I’m here to clear my name. Not only did she ask me to record Ms. Cynthia Bailey, but she told me she wanted me to record every single body that’s sitting right here.”
“She wanted proof that everybody else is equally talking s**t about her the way she talks s**t about everybody else,” Gail elaborated. She additionally spilled that Nene has sent her “threatening text messages, harassing phone calls from blocked numbers, and even a cease and desist from her attorney.”
“In her cease and desist, her attorney’s verbiage was that I needed to destroy any alleged audio that I might have on her that would portray her in a negative light or defame her character,” she explained. “I don’t know where she got that information from, I’ve never recorded NeNe. But clearly she’s afraid of the truth coming out here today.”
When confronted by Porsha Williams on why she did not come clean earlier, Momplaisir admitted, “I was still trying to protect her.” She continued, “It was beyond me why she actually went and told you guys she had an audio when she had actually never heard one her damn self. … The only reason I hadn’t really said anything is because I didn’t know that NeNe officially threw me under the bus.”

Kendall Jenner's 'Fraternal Twin' Kirby Jenner Outed in First Look at 'KUWTK' Parody Show

    [embedded content]

The whole Kardashian family, including Kendall and momager Kris Jenner, is supportive of the Quibi series, with Kim Kardashian dubbing Kirby ‘the best kept secret of our generation.’
    May 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kendall Jenner has a twin brother that no one has ever known before. Kirby Jenner, the self-proclaimed “fraternal twin brother” of the 24-year-old model, is about to make his debut in a self-titled show which is set to air on Quibi.
The first-look trailer for the eight-episode parody series has been released online, featuring members of the famous family. “My name is Kirby Jenner, everyone in my family has already had their own reality shows. So when this network asked if I wanted to do my own show I was like, ‘I don’t know? I hadn’t really thought about it.’ But then my mom said yes,” Kirby says in the video.
“My family is filled with people who do pretty important things,” he re-introduces his family. “My twin sister Kendall models, Kourtney keeps having babies, Khloe’s tall, Kylie makes lipsticks, mom does business. My sister Kimberly is practicing to become a lawyer.”
“And I guess I do some pretty fun things too,” so he claims, before describing himself, “I’m an amateur model, I like to rollerblade. I’m 24 years old and I guess it’s just time for me to start pulling my own weight and help out with the family business.”
Kirby later appears in a confessional with Kim Kardashian, who tells her brother, “You’re the best kept secret of our generation.”
Speaking to E! News, Kirby teases what to expect from his show. “Well, I think if anyone has seen my family’s show, ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, my show is kind of like that, except it follows me,” he says. “And I think that I do some pretty cool things. Like, I did some party planning with my sisters and I got into a battle with a bird, which was crazy. Someone got hurt. It was bad. But they’re OK now, so it’s fine.”
Asked why he’s never seen on her family’s popular reality show before, Kirby explains, “That’s a question that I actually get asked a lot. And the truth is, it just sort of like happened that way. I don’t think anyone in my family was like, trying to hide me or like keep me a secret. I’ve just always been busy doing my own thing. You know?”
Kendall and Kris Jenner executive produce “Kirby Jenner”, which chronicles the daily life of Kirby, who displays his expert Photoshop skills on a popular Instagram parody account that has amassed 1.2 million followers.
“I’m thrilled that Quibi viewers will get an inside look at the life of my twin brother and he’ll finally have the opportunity to shine in this series,” Kendall said in a statement released on Sunday, May 24. The first two episodes of the series premiere on Sunday.

‘Billions’ Season 5, Episode 4: Hometown Hero

Season 5, Episode 4: ‘Opportunity Zone’Wendy Rhoades stares at the man opposite her. And stares. And stares. And stares some more. The man opposite her is the artist Nic Tanner, the recent recipient of a gigantic commission from Bobby Axelrod. This Renaissance Italy-style largess has him dealing with perhaps his first bout of artist’s block. Wendy has some wise words for him, but the staring comes first. Why? Because he needs fight his own way out of his artist’s block; stonewalling his demurrals and excuses is how she’s teaching him this.According to Wendy, any obstacles between him and success as Bobby’s artist-in-residence are self-imposed. She tasks him with envisioning a better future, then getting off his duffer and doing whatever it takes to get himself there. That Wendy’s act of artist-whispering is successful nearly goes without saying. She’s a performance coach, a great one in fact, and figuring out how to unlock people’s potential is what she does. So is striking up a nearly instant interpersonal chemistry with her clients; if you look at it from the right angle, it’s almost as if she were coming on to Tanner rather than coaching him. Something similar happens later when she and Bobby have dinner in their shared apartment, as a comfortable silence between friends starts feeling like … something more. But you can also see her skill at work with Taylor Mason — the person who, I’ll remind you, nearly ended Wendy’s career for using her case notes to brutally sabotage Taylor’s personal and professional life. But you can’t argue with success, and that’s exactly what Wendy helps Taylor achieve when they sit down for a second meeting with an oil executive they’re attempting to persuade to “greenwash” their company. From mortal enemies to a potentially permanent partnership in a matter of minutes? That’s the power of Wendy Rhoades. What is Bobby’s power? I wonder if, more than anything else, it’s knowing when to get the hell out of Dodge. In a grim way, that’s how his rise to the top began: He narrowly escaped death on 9/11 and made a fortune that very day. And he’s been known to high-tail it from investments that have gone belly-up, as he did when the upstate New York town of Sandicot proved to be less than the lucrative business opportunity he had anticipated. So when he puts himself in contention for investing in an “opportunity zone” in an economically depressed area of Yonkers, his hometown, it’s easy for both the town worthies and his chief rival, Mike Prince, to paint him as a serial lam artist, one who will abandon Yonkers the moment it no longer proves useful to him. It takes all of his interpersonal skill — heavily influenced by his years under Wendy’s tutelage, might I add — to convince the decision makers otherwise, by drawing on his indisputable personal history in the area. But even though he beats both Prince and Charles Rhoades Sr. — who had been sicced on the project by his son, Chuck, as a way to rattle him — and wins the day, that habit of leaving dies hard. All it takes is some thinly veiled mockery by Prince, who tells Axe he “stinks” of Yonkers, to cause Bobby to skip out on the elaborate dinner he had planned with the family currently living in the house where he grew up. He slings mild expletives at Yonkers as he leaves, as if attempting to verbally scrub off that stink — of growing up poor, of having something to prove, of needing to feel valued. For Bobby, it’s better to just beat it.And what about Chuck, the third corner of this bizarre triangle? In this episode, at least, he appears only partially committed to his own power: legally boogie-woogieing until his enemy gets tripped up. His plan to use his father to scoop the Yonkers opportunity zone out from under Axe flops thanks to his father’s inveterate racism, while a potential partnership with Prince comes up short thanks to Prince’s sense of morality. (Yeah, sure, that’ll last.)Chuck seems much more alive in the hallowed halls of his alma mater, Yale. He’s not just teaching there — he’s being taught. His election-day speech, in which he went public about being a sexual masochist, is on the syllabus of Catherine Brant (Julianna Margulies), a best-selling writer and sociology professor who seemingly specializes in sexuality. (A quick comparison of Brant and Wendy reveals her as Chuck’s type almost immediately.) While he at first doesn’t want to speak to her class about this infamous speech, he eventually gives in.Was his public confession an act of submission, or an attempt to play the dominant by strategically surrendering? Chuck frames the speech as an emotional release rather than a “carnal” one, but this is the big question about his character, isn’t it? Are his personal and professional spheres distinct, or do they overlap like a Venn diagram — master sometimes, servant others, driven always by the imbalance of power and the question of who wields it?This is a jam-packed episode of “Billions,” for what it’s worth. (As if there were any other kind?) In addition to the adventures of Wendy and Taylor and Bobby and Chuck, we see Wags try and fail to reconnect with his baby-faced Christian son, George, and decide that fathering a whole new child is easier. We see Kate Sacker warn her father, Franklin (Harry Lennix), against partnering with Axe to bring diversity to his Yonkers scheme, then divulge to Chuck that the pair plan to go into the banking business together. We see Mafee settle back into the easy camaraderie of Axe Cap, to the point where Taylor allows him to change his seat in the office rather than keep him sequestered with the Mase Cap quants. But as is custom on “Billions,” the plot beats pertaining to our main characters do much more than advance story lines. They reveal who these people are just as surely as a stare-down from Wendy Rhoades does.Loose change:The episode ends with another great heavy metal music cue: “Home Sweet Home,” by Mötley Crüe. To be honest, I would have thought Bobby’s taste in metal was a bit more refined than these hair-metal exemplars, but maybe that’s just me.Speaking of “maybe that’s just me,” I’m not sure how I feel about the show’s portrayal of Chuck and Catherine’s students. They’re a touchy-feely bunch whose aversion to discipline and espousal of concepts like “privilege” seem torn from your average right-wing “what’s wrong on campus these days” essay. Personally, I expect heavy discipline from the masochist professor. The joke practically writes itself. On the other hand, the show subtly but unmistakably highlights its gender-nonbinary character Taylor’s discomfort at being misgendered as a woman by that oil exec. “Billions” may score a few points at the expense of privilege discourse and safe spaces, but it also recognizes how much all of that simply comes down to the respect we’re willing to afford people who aren’t like us. Ryan Murphy Wants to Reboot 'Glee' With Ben Platt

    WENN

The creator of the hit teen musical series is flirting with the idea of bringing back the television show with Lea Michele, Ben Platt, and Beanie Feldstein.
    May 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – TV mogul Ryan Murphy has reimagined the script for his classic show “Glee” while teasing a revamped pilot episode.
The television creator is dead set on recreating the first-ever episode of the teen musical, which debuted in 2009 and ran for six seasons.
“I WANT TO SHOOT THIS DO OVER PILOT. Maybe I will?” he teased fans on Instagram after revealing a revised plotline.
Going into detail about how he would reshoot the kooky characters at fictional William McKinley High School, Ryan wrote, “Imagine it’s 2009, and I lived in a world where I knew Lea Michele, Ben Platt and Beanie Feldstein (Ben and Beanie, I believe, were in high school then…and I think they dressed up as Glee characters once for Halloween?) If I had access to that talent.”
“Here’s the new pilot: Lea and Ben are frenemies who fight for the heart and soul of Glee Club. Ben is also on the football team, and pretty much sleeps with the entire school and is the heartthrob of McKinley. Beanie is their mutual best friend, and torn. Suddenly, Beanie joins forces with Sue Sylvester, joins Glee Club and becomes the main soloist and the ruthless star of the club. Lea and Ben have to then join forces to dethrone her.”
Ryan did not offer any further details about the potential revised pilot production. The TV producer shared his “Glee” intentions after announcing a spin-off series of his other hit show, “American Horror Story”, on the photo-sharing platform earlier this month.
“Glee”, which had a revolving main cast of stars, including Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, the late Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, and Darren Criss, among others, went off the air in 2015.

'Gossip Girl' Remake Put on Hold for a Year

The new ‘Gossip Girl’ reboot with a whole new cast has been announced to be postponed for a year due to the ongoing lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.
    May 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – The ongoing coronavirus chaos has delayed plans to reboot hit TV series “Gossip Girl” until next year 2021.
The popular teen drama was set to be revived for the upcoming HBO Max streaming service, with its premiere scheduled for this autumn 2020, but as cameras had yet to start rolling on the project prior to the Hollywood shutdown, the show will no longer be debuting as hoped.
HBO Max chief content officer Kevin Reilly told Vulture, “They hadn’t even started production yet; they were in pre-production and ready to roll (when the coronavirus pandemic began).”
The revamped “Gossip Girl” isn’t the only highly-anticipated show on the streaming platform to be postponed – work on the “Friends” reunion special is also on a break until further notice.
The new “Gossip Girl” series is set to feature fashion blogger-turned-actress Tavi Gevinson, Thomas Doherty, Adam Chanler-Berat, and Zion Moreno.
Joshua Safran will serve as showrunner after previously executive producing the original show, which ran from 2007 to 2012 and turned Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, and Leighton Meester into stars.
