      'Dawson's Creek' Reunion Blocked From Hulu's New Series 'Little Fires Everywhere'

      The web television drama miniseries starring Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington almost features a reunion between Joshua Jackson and his former co-star Kerr Smith.

      AceShowbiz – An onscreen “Dawson’s Creek” reunion between Joshua Jackson and Kerr Smith on the set of “Little Fires Everywhere” was nixed as it was considered “too distracting.”
      Showrunner Liz Tigelaar reveals shortly after Jackson landed the role of attorney Bill Richardson in the limited series, she thought it would be great to bring Smith onboard for a cameo, having previously worked together on 2010 drama “Life Unexpected”.
      However, Tigelaar soon had a change of heart about the idea as the thought of having Jackson and Smith – known for their breakthrough roles as Pacey Witter and Jack McPhee – share the screen again, 17 years after “Dawson’s Creek” wrapped for good was too much for her to bear.
      In a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Tigelaar, who also served as a writer for “Dawson’s Creek”, explained, “I wanted to put Kerr Smith in so bad, but the only thing I could do was (have him in a scene) with Josh Jackson, and I thought it was going to be too distracting for Jack and Pacey to be reunited.”
      She “felt so bad” about leaving Smith out of “Little Fires Everywhere”, but knew “Dawson’s Creek” fans would already have enough to get excited about with scenes of Jackson walking around half-naked in his “tighty-whities.”
      “Josh has already been in his tighty-whities. So much has happened,” Tigelaar reflected, adding of the potential Smith cameo, “It’s going to be jarring. It’s going to be like, ‘Jack’s here?’ ”
      “My heart couldn’t handle it, either!”
      “Little Fires Everywhere” also stars Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington and is adapted from author Celeste Ng’s bestselling novel of the same name. The eighth and final episode premiered on streaming service Hulu on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

      AceShowbiz – More details about what went down during “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion have found their way online. This time, it was about the infamous “SnakeGate” in which Cynthia Bailey allegedly badmouthed her co-star NeNe Leakes during an interview. However, it turns out that it was merely a lie.
      Yovanna Momplaisir, who was revealed to be the one having the audio proof, attended the reunion special and confessed that she never actually had the file. She also said that it was all a ploy NeNe made to create a storyline, according to Lovebscott.com. Yovanna allegedly mentioned that she decided to go along with her friend’s plan because she thought it would help her become a full-time member instead of a friend.
      Besides the “SnakeGate”, NeNe and Kenya Moore unsurprisingly went at it again during the reunion. While the “Glee” alum attacked the former beauty queen over her rocky marriage to Marc Daly, Kenya accused her of having a secret boyfriend named Rodney in Washington D.C.
      For those who need a reminder, rumors of NeNe having a secret boyfriend started around last month, with a report claiming that she first met him while opening her Baltimore store in May 2019. “She spends a lot of time in Maryland not only because of this boutique, but also because of her side guy,” so a source said. “She flaunts her relationship with him around openly like they’re together.”
      Back to “RHOA” reunion, Kandi Burruss previously [u=news/view/00152839.htmlrevealed that the reunion was so explosive that some people decided to walk out. “That was stressing me out, and then when we got off, I just felt exhausted,” she added. “I talked to a couple of the girls afterwards. I know I talked to [Marlo Hampton]. Marlo was like, ‘Girl! I need a drink! I am done! I need a whole relaxation moment.’ ”

      According to Kandi Burruss, some arguments during the reunion got escalated with them ‘yelling and screaming’ to each other, to the point that ‘it was hurting my ears.’

      AceShowbiz – “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast members may not be physically facing off each other in the upcoming reunion, but that doesn’t make this less tense. In a new interview, Kandi Burruss shared that the virtual reunion, in fact, was so explosive that some people decided to just walk out.
      “I think some people still have more to say. Some people walked out,” the 43-year-old Bravo personality spilled the tea to HollywoodLife. While she wasn’t able to say more than that, Kandi insisted that she told the truth. “I’m not going to lie. Well, for me, it was aggressive,” she said.
      “I would say aggressive because I mean the arguments were going so crazy sometimes that [host] [Andy Cohen] is trying to get us to stop and he can’t because we’re not in the room with him so nobody can stop us from talking or saying what we need to say, so people are just going for roadkill when they say what it is they need to say until finally some of us had to be muted,” so she continued.
      Kandi also shared that some arguments got escalated with them “yelling and screaming.” She recalled, “It was hurting my ears. I literally had to send production a text like please turn down my headphones.”
      “That was stressing me out, and then when we got off, I just felt exhausted,” she added. “I talked to a couple of the girls afterwards. I know I talked to [Marlo Hampton]. Marlo was like, ‘Girl! I need a drink! I am done! I need a whole relaxation moment.’ ”

      Kandi didn’t reveal which cast members who were involved in the screaming match, but it’s more likely that they’re longtime rivals NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore. The latter previously hinted  that she’s looking “forward to exposing for the person she really is.”
      “I think this is a reunion of exposure. And I have the receipts to back it up. I have the people to back it up. I have everything I need so that the world will know just who she really is,” she teased.
      However, she hinted that NeNe wouldn’t be the only one among the cast members whom she would be coming after. “Well, my focus is addressing all of the women that I’ve had issues with,” so she shared. “I think that I will do what I’ve always done which is just to be really honest and be factual and to keep it as classy as I possibly can under the circumstances.”
      Kenya didn’t mention any names other than NeNe. However, it’s possible that she might be attacking Porsha Williams and Tanya Sam later.

      AceShowbiz – Omarion is gearing up for his upcoming Zeus network series titled “The Connection”. Prior to the premiere, the B2K rapper sat down with PeopleTV to reveal what people could expect from his new TV series.
      “A lot of people know that I have a way of addressing things. As a creative person, this is my main language, creativity,” he shared. “I think the interesting thing about creativity is that creativity has many perspectives and I think there’s always lessons and takeaways from life’s situations. Looking at it now, I’m so honored to be able to be the example for a lot of people in their relationships.”
      When asked if he would address the drama surrounding her baby mama Apryl Jones and ex B2K groupmate Lil Fizz, Omarion responded, “We’re definitely gonna be diving into that… I will be diving a little deeper into the intricacies and some of the challenges because really that’s all it is, it’s just a challenge.”
      However, it seemed like it wouldn’t take much portion of the show since Omarion revealed that he had been busy with his new venture, “unbothered” essential oil. “The scent is gonna truly represent the attitude and embody sometimes the position you need to take,” Omarion said. “Sometimes you need to deal with things head-on, but sometimes you need to be unbothered.”

      For the past months, Omarion and Apryl have been making headlines after she confirmed that she was dating O’s B2K groupmate Lil Fizz before eventually splitting. O was known to be unbothered by the whole thing, though he started to break his silence in interviews earlier this year.
      “I don’t have a relationship with Fizz. I think that there should be [an] opportunity for us to talk one day. I don’t know when that is, but there should be opportunity… Because it’s such a question to people. So, it kinda creates this layer of ‘I don’t know,’ ” he said on Big Boy’s “Neighborhood” in February, before adding that Fizz and Apryl were already dating when B2K was on the “Millennium Tour” in 2019.
      The former couple didn’t say anything to him though, as Omarion found out about their relationship through rumors. “I wanna be clear though, what me and Apryl had is what me and Apryl had. We created something really beautiful and we gave something truly beautiful to each other that’s really irreplaceable. So, at the end of the day, even though I have public issues, I wish no ill intent or malice towards anyone,” Omarion insisted.

Critics praised Lopez’s performance, but some argued the movie lacks nuance and character back stories.       AceShowbiz – Actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge is giving isolated fans extra time to check out her live theatre performance of “Fleabag” after raising more than $1 million (£809,000) for coronavirus relief.
      The Brit’s one-woman show, the original inspiration for the acclaimed TV comedy, was recorded at London’s Wyndham Theatre last year (19) and was released on video on-demand services for a limited two-week run in early April.
      Downloads cost around $5 (£4), with funds benefitting causes including The National Emergencies Trust, NHS Charities Together, Acting For Others, and the newly-established Fleabag Support Fund, aimed at providing grants of $3,000 (£2,500) to struggling freelance workers in the U.K. theatre industry.
      The initial streaming period proved to be so popular, raising in excess of $1 million, Waller-Bridge has now extended the show’s availability until the end of May.

      AceShowbiz – The 2020 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is set to be revamped as an isolation TV special after the original prizegiving was cancelled due to the coronavirus chaos.
      Chance The Rapper had been set to host the annual ceremony at The Forum in Inglewood, California on 22 March, but plans were pulled out of safety concerns as the COVID-19 outbreak worsened.
      Now network bosses have revealed they will stage the event as a special on 2 May, when former child star Victoria Justice will serve as host.
      “Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together” will feature remote appearances by stars like Ariana Grande, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, BTS (Bangtan Boys), Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellen DeGeneres, and Dove Cameron, as well as castmembers of “Avengers: Endgame”, which leads all nominees with 11 nods.

      During the show, viewers will be encouraged to support food charity No Kid Hungry, while Nickelodeon bosses will also pledge $1 million (£809,000) to support those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

      AceShowbiz – The upcoming episode of “90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days” season 4 is poised to show a pivotal moment in Ed and Rose’s relationship. In a clip from the April 26 episode, which is obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the couple is seen having a romantic dinner at their hotel with Rose hoping for the night to end with Ed proposing to her.
      “I feel happy. I feel love,” the 23-year-old says in confessional. “I want Ed to be a part of my life so, I wish that he proposes to me this night.”
      While Rose sounds so sure about their relationship, it is not the case with Ed. Speaking to TLC cameras, the 50-year-old shares, “I mean I think [I want to be with her], but I’m not 100 percent sure.” He admits that the situation with Rose’s sister, who asks him for money, is the one that is holding him back. It seems like Ed still has doubts regarding Rose’s real intention for dating him.
      “We’re still exploring that, at this point,” he previously said to Entertainment Tonight when asked if he still feels that Rose is dating him for his money. “At this point [in the show], I still have suspicions.”
      That isn’t the only problem the two have to face since Rose is rumored to be actually engaged to another woman now. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ed addressed this swirling rumor about Rose’s supposed engagement to another woman. He admitted he has “no idea” if it’s true and hadn’t even heard of the rumor before, but reminded fans that they should take everything with a grain of salt.
      “You know, half the stuff I read online — not like half the stuff, more like 90 percent of the stuff I read online — is not true,” he explained. “It’s people grabbing information, and bits and bits of information, and they’re just creating fake news. They don’t know what’s going on. I know what’s going on in my heart.”
      While he didn’t give a straight answer regarding the status of their relationship, Ed said, “I’m happy, that’s all I can tell you.” He went on assuring, “I’m very, very happy.”
