Sarah Hyland Calls 'Modern Family' Ending Disappointing

    Cosmopolitan Magazine/Kerry Hallihan

The Haley Dunphy depicter doesn’t seem to look forwards to the upcoming final episode of her long running TV series because she’s less than impressed with the ending.
    Apr 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Sarah Hyland was disappointed with the way “Modern Family” ended for her character Haley Dunphy.
The 29-year-old actress starred as Haley in the hit U.S. TV show from its start in 2009 to its final episode, which will air on April 8, 2020. But while fans are desperately waiting to see how the programme draws to a close, Sarah told America’s Cosmopolitan magazine that she was left somewhat deflated when she saw how it finished for her on-screen alter ego.
Telling the publication that she wished she could have seen Haley “own her bada*sery (sic) in the fashion world – becoming a badass stylist or brand mogul or anything like that, Sarah then reflected that it would have been equally exciting to see her become a working mother after welcoming twins.”

“There are so many amazing mothers who are also hard workers and excel at their jobs and kill it every day in both aspects,” she said. “That would have been a really cool thing to see, especially from someone like Haley.”

'The Tonight Show': Lady GaGa and Jimmy Fallon Have the Most Awkward Phone Call Ever

    WENN

Prior to FaceTiming with the 34-year-old singer from his home, host Jimmy Fallon teases that she’ll be making a big announcement, but she reveals that for some reasons she can’t do the interview.
    Apr 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lady GaGa was among the guests in the Wednesday, April 1 episode of “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon”. Prior to FaceTiming with the 34-year-old singer/actress from his home, host Jimmy Fallon teased that the singer would be making a big announcement.
Once he was connected with GaGa, Jimmy excitedly said, “Hi! Lady GaGa!” The “A Star Is Born” was seen wearing smart makeup while sporting dark-rimmed glasses. She seemed to be busy as she awkwardly greeted, “Hi everyone!”
Jimmy then asked her, “You have a big, maybe announcement you’re going to say tonight on our show?” However, GaGa revealed for some reasons she couldn’t do the interview, let alone making an announcement. “I can’t Jimmy. I, uh, can’t talk right now. I’m sorry. It’s just a really, really weird time,” she said.
“Hello? Jimmy I can’t see you. Am I on TV?” the “Poker Face” hitmaker asked, to which Jimmy responded,”Yeah, you’re on TV. I apologize.” Jimmy appeared to try pressing about the announcement, saying, “There’s something very big you’re working on that’s going to help people right now.”
GaGa, however, insisted that she just couldn’t do it at the time. “I cant..I can’t tell you everything right now because I’m still ironing out the details and I have a lot of phone calls to make,” she told Jimmy. She then suggested him to call her again on Friday, much to Jimmy’s confusion.

As if the situation wasn’t weird enough, GaGa suddenly asked Jimmy to reschedule their interview on Monday. Despite feeling confused, Jimmy agreed to the proposition. “So I guess it’s Monday. Monday is when we will find out the big news from Lady GaGa. Not today, Wednesday, no. Not Friday, nope. Next Monday is when we’ll find out the big news from Lady GaGa. Thank you, GaGa. I cannot wait to find out what you’re brewing. It’s going to be fun,” Jimmy concluded.

Sheldon Cooper Appears to Have Coronavirus in Old Episode of 'The Big Bang Theory'

    CBS

The alleged Coronavirus prediction also appeared in an episode of the show’s spin-off ‘Young Sheldon’ as Sheldon is seen watching news on TV about a flu virus that’s originating from China.
    Apr 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – People are freaking out after finding out that an old episode of “The Big Bang Theory” might have predicted the existence of Coronavirus. The popular sitcom previously aired an episode which saw Sheldon Cooper being admitted to hospital because he had been exposed to something that was believed to be Coronavirus.
In a video that circulated online, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) could be seen stopping Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) from joining him during lunch because he was sneezing. Elsewhere in the video, he was seen at a hospital before going inside a room where an apparent patient with an infectious diseases was being isolated.
When he was about to go out, the paramedic surrounding the patient stopped him from going because he “has been exposed.” That led him to stay at the hospital. His friends were wearing hazmat suit and full-body protection while visiting him.
The alleged Coronavirus prediction also appeared in an episode of the show’s spin-off “Young Sheldon”. Young Sheldon (Iain Armitage), who claimed to be germaphobe, packed his things up and was ready to leave the class after his teacher sneezed right in front of everyone. “Where do you think you are going?” the teacher asked, to which Sheldon replied while covering his mouth and nose with his arm, “away from you.” The teacher continued, “Why is that?” and Shelton told her it was because he wanted to live.
Later, he was seen watching news on TV about a flu virus that was originating from China. “Children and the elderly are almost at risk,” said the news anchor.

This is similar to COVID-19 that put the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions at the higher risk. Research is showing that adults at the age of 60 and older, especially with heart disease, lung disease, diabetes or cancer are more likely to have severe coronavirus infection than other age groups. Some cases even lead to death.

What’s on TV Friday: ‘Invisible Life’ and ‘Home Before Dark’

What’s StreamingINVISIBLE LIFE (2019) Stream on Amazon. Two inseparable sisters are torn apart in “Invisible Life,” a drama from the Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz. Based on a popular novel by Martha Batalha and set in early 1950s Rio de Janeiro, the film begins by introducing the siblings, their tight relationship and their differing desires. Guida (Julia Stockler) has fallen for a Greek sailor; Eurídice (Carol Duarte) wants to pursue a career as a pianist. Then Guida elopes, Eurídice is pushed to marry and it becomes unclear whether the sisters will ever see each other again. That separation is largely due to their father, who lies to keep them apart. The film won the Un Certain Regard award at the Cannes Film Festival last year, and has done well with critics. In his review for The New York Times, Glenn Kenny called it “a modern melodrama that’s proud to be one,” adding that the film’s “mix of vivid period detail and raw frankness about sexuality and poverty and women’s oppression is heady and bracing; its depiction of female friendship and love is pointedly ferocious.”HOME BEFORE DARK Stream on Apple TV Plus. “I’m a reporter,” Hilde, the main character of this new series, says in the show’s opening minutes. “I know it seems weird, but I’ve been like this for as long as I can remember.” That can’t be very long: She’s still in elementary school. Based loosely on the life of the young journalist Hilde Lysiak, “Home Before Dark” stars Brooklynn Prince (“The Florida Project”) as Hilde Lisko, a girl who, inspired by her reporter father (played by Jim Sturgess), gets an early start on a career in journalism — and eventually breaks open a cold case in a small town. What’s on TVDISHING WITH JULIA CHILD 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on PBS (check local listings). Watch famous chefs watch Julia Child make food in this series, which has cooks like José Andrés, Carla Hall, Marcus Samuelsson and Vivian Howard give commentary on vintage TV footage of Child, and discuss Child’s influence. “She’s making it look very approachable,” Howard says in the second episode, as Child handles bread dough. “Like Tuesday afternoon.”TOP GUN (1986) 8 p.m. on AMC. What’s the ultimate balm for being stuck inside? Maybe it’s a nature documentary. Maybe it’s a travel show. Or perhaps it’s “Top Gun,” Tony Scott’s soaring (and unhinged) action blockbuster, filled with open blue sky and flattering shots of Tom Cruise. Cruise plays a cocky combat pilot, a role he’s set to reprise later this year in “Top Gun: Maverick.” This original “Top Gun” is “stupid,” Manohla Dargis observed in a recent article in The Times. “But it’s rarely boring,” she added, “and it can be irresistible. Watching it yet again, I was struck by the pictorial elegance and dynamism of the aerial sequences. They’re hypnotic, and I would have happily watched more looping, zooming action.” More
