Jada Pinkett Smith Dragged Over Snoop Dogg Interview on 'Red Table Talk'

    Facebook Watch

After the new episode of her Facebook Watch talk show aired, it soon made headlines, but instead of compliments, the wife of Will Smith receives harsh criticism over the interview.
    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jada Pinkett Smith’s talk show “Red Table Talk” has always succeeded in garnering public attention by bringing the right guests amid hot topics. Recently, she invited rapper Snoop Dogg to discuss his controversial comments about Gayle King as he tried to “protect” Kobe Bryant’s widow Vanessa Bryant.
After the episode aired, it soon made headlines. However, instead of compliments, Jada received harsh criticism over the interview because it seemed like people think that Jada cornered Snoop despite his apology. “jada you’re out of pocket for this bs,” one user wrote in the comment section while someone else added, “Jada this ain’t it and you should do better for you black community.”
One fan was saddened to see Snoop clarifying his comments all over again. “I would like to see [Oprah Winfrey] or Gayle at the table next… Snoop is being attacked!!! And he already apologizedm.” Echoing the sentiment, one other shared, “It hurts me that he has to keep clarifying his hurt. I’ve been thinking for some days now how few safe places exist for men of color to be vulnerabgle and grieve without being judged or persecuted the I way snoop is.”
“HE SAID WHAT HE SAID JADA !!” a supportive fan exclaimed. “It was never about anybody else, it was directed to that woman only,” another explained.
During the interview, the rap veteran revealed that he went hard against Gayle for bringing up the late basketball icon’s rape case during a chat with Kobe’s friend and fellow athlete Lisa Leslie because he wanted to protect Vanessa. “I wanted to make sure what I said was said the right way and I wanted to make sure that the message was across. That we love Kobe and be respectful of Vanessa and those kids,” he shared.
“That’s what the whole intent was, to protect that women and them babies over there, because she’s still grieving. And let’s give them that respect (sic),” he added.

'The Masked Singer' Recap: The Mouse Is Unmasked to Be Legendary Superstar

    FOX

The new episode of the hit FOX singing competition series features performances by Group B that is made of the Mouse, the Banana, the Frog, the Taco and the Kitty.
    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – “The Masked Singer” returned with a new episode on Wednesday, February 26. The episode featured performances by Group B that was made of the Mouse, the Banana, the Frog, the Taco and the Kitty.
Kicking off the night was the Banana, who sang Billy Ray Cyrus classic “Achy Breaky Heart”. He gave the panelists, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger and Jenny McCarthy, clues by saying that his favorite subject in school was art. That prompted the panelists to think that the Banana might be Larry the Cable Guy, Ed Helms or Billy Bob Thornton.

The next performer was the Mouse. She, who said that ‘stage is like my second home,’ performed “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole. The guesses included Tina Turner and Ellis Ross with Robin being convinced that the Mouse was Dionne Warwick because of the gold clues in the clue packages.

The Frog then hit the stage to perform a rather weird arrangement of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club”. His clue package included more Prince references, a basketball and toy soldiers. The panel guessed that Frog could be Alfonso Ribeiro, Kevin Hart or Omarion. Later, the Taco offered a performance of “Bossa Nova Baby” by Elvis Presley. The guesses for the Taco included Harry Connick Jr., Seth MacFarlane, Ted Danson or Alec Baldwin.

The Kitty, meanwhile, blew everyone’s mind with a performance of Brett Young’s “Mercy”. Her voice, which was strong yet tender at the same time, successfully captivated people’s hearts. As for the guesses, the panelists threw out names like Millie Bobby Brown, Amanda Seyfried or Sarah Hyland.

It was later revealed that the Mouse received the lowest voting and had to be unmasked. For the final guess, Robin, Nicole and Jenny all agreed that she might be Dionne while Ken guessed Tina Turner. It was then revealed that the Mouse was indeed Dionne Warwick!

Pete Davidson’s New Special Seems Like It Could Use a Hug

To hear Pete Davidson tell it, the worst thing his ex-fiancée Ariana Grande might have done to him was tell the world he has a big penis. Now every woman who sees him naked, he says in his new stand-up special, will be disappointed. In “Alive From New York,” Davidson, 26, corrects the record (“she just has very little hands”) in a debut that feels like a late-career effort, the kind tossed together quickly to satisfy the terms of an ill-advised contract. And yet, it does provide some clues to a long-running mystery that has taken on new urgency: How in the world did Pete Davidson get so famous?Dating other famous people, a cynic might say, but there was buzz surrounding this lanky comic even before he became one of the youngest cast members in the history of “Saturday Night Live,” and then a regular player in the daily soap opera of online media. And his stratospheric rise has put him on the verge of a breakthrough with starring roles in two major movies in the next few months, “Big Time Adolescence” and “The King of Staten Island.”When I first saw him perform a couple of times in 2014, he seemed unusually poised for a 20-year-old, but his jokes were sloppy and rambling. He seemed to be having a better time than the audience. His style hasn’t evolved much, but his public persona has. And he is savvy enough to exploit that in his special, which, in responding to various public brouhahas (joke controversies, backstage gossip), provides plenty of fodder for tabloid news.Swallowed up in a suit, Davidson is relatively static in his special, which was released Tuesday on Netflix. But his voice is nimble, a deep outer-borough croak that is a register or two away from demonic, before bursting into a girlish giggle. Such incongruities mark his man-child persona. Swagger alternates with sensitivity. An indifferent stare periodically turns into a gaping grin. Like the biggest stars, he’s fun to look at. But you can’t do it for long without worrying a little. He projects a “Glass Menagerie” fragility, onstage and off. In the only interview he did to promote this special, he said he’s ready to leave “Saturday Night Live” and criticized the show in a way cast members rarely do. He talked about getting tattoos to hide the scars on his chest from cutting himself, and how he’s so insecure about his looks that he keeps no mirrors in his house, which he shares with his mother. At a recent show at Caroline’s, he twitchily joked about rehab and suicidal tendencies. Davidson has a peculiar gift for a stand-up: He makes you want to take care of him.In one of Conan O’Brien’s recent podcasts, the question of Davidson’s appeal came up, and Judd Apatow, who directed “The King of Staten Island,” said that on top of his charisma, he’s representative of a generation wracked by anxiety. At the risk of generalizing, the mood of young, straight white male comics does seem to have shifted of late, the old self-deprecation morphed into something darker, even melancholy. In their recent specials, Bo Burnham and Drew Michael have moments of real sadness, talking about the loneliness of performance and the pain of relationships. In “Alive From New York,” Davidson discusses the death of a parent — his father was a firefighter who died at ground zero on Sept. 11 — but his comedy special isn’t even the only one to do that in the past week.Whitmer Thomas, another gaunt comic, whose “The Golden One” premiered on HBO over the weekend, embraces many of the trendiest features of modern comedy: using documentary to flesh out jokes, alternating punch lines with songs and fully embracing personal tragedy as a subject of comedy. When he was young, Thomas, 30, sang in an emo band, and his moodiness makes it seem that he never really left the genre. If there’s such a thing as emo comedy, this is it.Thomas, an Alabama native based in Los Angeles, cuts a glamorous, haunted figure, with pale skin and the tousled hair of Timothée Chalamet caught in a wind tunnel. He turns estrangement from his father and being kidnapped as a child into dark comedy. But his central story is about the early death of his mother, a singer, and the way he grapples with this loss through returning to the club where she performed in the house band. What really distinguishes Thomas is his commitment to incorporating sad music into funny jokes. It’s not a novelty, and the satire is embedded in the lyrics, but the manner of performance is deeply sincere. When he sings that he just wants to be “dumb and in love,” you believe it. His most lacerating wit is directed at himself. “My identity is my mother died,” he moans in an early song, before adding knowingly: “Anything to distract from being straight and white.”There’s a cynicism here that sits right beside the earnestness, a carefully curated vulnerability. Davidson isn’t as skilled of an entertainer, but he’s better at performing this trick. Thomas is charismatic, too, but he isn’t slick enough to realize the advantages of coming off sloppy.Young comics always have and always will talk about sex, but in the #MeToo era, a political context is more likely to inform such material. Whereas some older male comics have defended Louis C.K., Thomas and Davidson notably go in the opposite direction. Davidson has a whole story about how Louis C.K. tried to get him fired from “S.N.L.” when he was just starting out, and Thomas, without naming Louis C.K., says he hopes comics like him go to hell. When Thomas performed at the Bell House in Brooklyn earlier this month, he danced around the stage with the flair of an emerging rock star. But he’s a cautious, modest one, making his songs not just about sex and romance, but performance anxiety and the solitary life. Both of these comics finish their shows by paying homage to their late parents. Davidson describes interviewing his father’s friends to get to know him better and discovering he did cocaine. “I knew he was a hero,” he said in one of his crispest setups. “But I didn’t know he was a superhero.”And Thomas movingly sings his mother’s best-known song, “He’s Hot,” along with her sister and former bandmate, giving it the television exposure it never received. Both of them make their parents out to be more fun and carefree than they are themselves. It’s an odd tribute for comedians to make, and who knows whether it’s actually the case, but it does have the ring of truth. More

The ‘Lizzie McGuire’ actress hints at her frustrations after one of her TV shows was dopped by the Mouse House streaming service and the other one was put on hold.
    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Hilary Duff took aim at Disney+ bosses on Twitter after it was announced a TV series based on the movie “Love, Simon” had moved to Hulu from Disney’s new streaming network.
Earlier this week, it was reported the show, which is loosely based around the 2018 LGBTQ+ coming-of-age flick, had been dropped by Disney + and picked up by Hulu, as it was apparently not “family friendly” enough.
Hilary is already affiliated with the network, working on its revived “Lizzie McGuire” series, but in a cryptic post she hinted all wasn’t well between herself and executives.

Last month, January 2020, it was announced the Lizzie McGuire reboot had been put on hold as producers seek a “different creative direction” for the series after the show’s original creator exited her role.

'RHONJ': Teresa Giudice Throws Her Drink and Flips Off the Camera in Explosive Finale Preview

    Bravo

In a sneak-peek at the upcoming episode, Teresa is seen having a meltdown after co-star Melissa Gorga spills the tea about her shocking involvement in the hair-pulling drama.
    Feb 26, 2020
AceShowbiz – The season finale of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” will be an explosive one, thanks to Teresa Giudice. In a sneak-peek at the upcoming episode, Teresa is seen having a meltdown after co-star and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga spilled the tea about her shocking involvement in Danielle Staub and Margaret Joseph’s hair-pulling drama.
“Danielle told me Steven Dann told her to pull Margaret’s hair,” Melissa tells everyone as they gather for a backyard barbecue at the Jersey Shore. For those who need a refresher, Melissa was referring to the hair-pulling incident at a boutique when Danielle yanked Margaret’s hair after the latter poured a drink on her.
“I don’t believe that for two f***ing seconds. Why would Steven f***ing Dann tell her to pull my hair?” Margaret responds before asking Melissa what else that Danielle tells her. “She was on the fence and said, ‘I don’t know. Should I? Should I?’ And then you said, ‘Do it,’ ” Melissa continues while pointing directly at Teresa.
While the ladies are looking at each other in shock, Teresa nervously asks, “She said that?” Margaret then quips, “I don’t believe it. You would never do that!” with Dolores Catania adding, “This is Danielle 101. She’s making stories up as they went along!”
When Melissa asks Teresa if Danielle lies, Teresa looks flustered and says, “I don’t even…I remember her saying something to me…I don’t know…I was drinking. And everything happened so fast.” In response to the shocking revelation, Dolores admits in a confessional, “Holy s**t. This is so crazy to me. I mean I know Teresa has had her issues with Margaret. But it never crossed my mind that she would be part of this hair pulling.”
Meanwhile, Margaret is furious at Teresa. “I’m a little freaked out. I’m not gonna lie. Why would you ever tell her to pull my hair? How sick is that? You f***ing love this girl so much that you;re gonna f***ing just let her hurt me? For what? For what?” Margaret ranted. “You’re a real f***ing a**hole. I’m like f***ing freaked out. This is your f***ing friend? This is who you wanna associate with?”
“I mean, I feel bad. I hope they don’t use this,” Teresa says as Margaret storms off. “They are gonna use it,” Melissa tells her. That prompts Teresa to flip the bird to a cameraman before throwing her red solo cup that ends up soaking Dolores. Looking so pissed off, Teresa storms off.

Season 10 finale of “RHONJ” airs on Wednesday, February 26 at 8 P.M. ET/PT on Bravo.
