Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway spoke to the identical twin of a man who was a long-suffering coronavirus sufferer, just like her husband Derek Draper.
Derek, who has been in hospital since the end of March, is still in a minimum state of consciousness after contracting the virus.
In the emotional interview, Bobby and Kate discussed how much the virus had ravaged the bodies of their loved ones, as both had suffered organ failure.
She said to Bobby: “I know that you feel like there may similarities that we’ve experience, me with Derek and you with your beloved twin.
“You first thought that Covid could have impacted him in this way when Ben interviewed me before my return.

As the pair talked about Bobby and Derek’s battle, which has seen them both enter into minimum states of consciousness and suffer from organ failure, Kate opened up.
Kate said: “It does provide people with a reality of what this virus can do.
“We know it can kill but it can also ruin lives even when the life isn’t taken and we have to have hope to get through it.”

Meanwhile, earlier in the show Kate opened up about feeling “physically sick” at the thought of not spending Christmas with Derek.
She will be spending the festive day with their children Darcey, 14, and Billy, 11, as guidelines could mean they won’t be able to see him in hospital.
Kate said: “I feel physically sick actually. I can feel my chest tightening at the thought of it, and the total panic at Darcy, Bill and myself on our own at Christmas unable to visit Derek because of restrictions, and that huge emotional hole.
“I don’t know how to fill it, without friends and grandparents to fill it. It feels like such a significant moment.”
Ben Shephard told her that he would be “round in a heartbeat” but he could also be prohibited from visiting if the current lockdown continues.
