Fans are fearing Adele has postponed her highly anticipated fourth album after the musician dropped a cryptic bombshell on social media.
The singing sensation hinted her upcoming release may not be distributed this year during a discussion with other musicians over on Instagram.
Taking to Instagram live on Saturday night, the 31-year-old chatted to producers Babyface and Teddy Riley and made a worrying remark that had her fans fearing they may be waiting a while longer to hear her dulcet tones once more.
During the online chat, the video was plagued with technical difficulties which somewhat irked the British star.

She exclaimed: “Come on, it’s 2020 – we ain’t meant to get what we want!” with many believing this suggested her album will be released next year.
Following the chat, one annoyed fan shared their thoughts on Twitter.
They wrote: “Anyways, Adele has been on IG replying on Lives while we’re here waiting for 5,000 years and she said, “Come on it’s 2020 we ain’t meant to get what we want.’ Like seriously, is that freaking funny Miss Adkins?”

While another fumed: “Ma’am. I’m meant to get an album from you. Preferably in 2020. Don’t play like this.”
The Grammy Award winning musician sent the internet into overdrive when she announced a brand new album was on its way.
Back in February, Adele teased new music was coming when she grabbed the mic while she was at a friend’s wedding.

The clip, which soon went viral online, saw the star bellow into the microphone: “Expect my album in September.”
Adele last released music in November 2015, with her third studio album 25 becoming the fastest-selling album in UK chart history with over 800,000 copies sold in its first week.
Let’s hope her loyal fans aren’t forced to wait too much longer.
