Britney Spears hits out at followers for 'bullying' her in emotional post

Songstress Britney Spears is no stranger to taking to Instagram to share posts about her life.

Last night was no different as the blonde bombshell revealed that the negative comments she often faces on Instagram has taken a toll on the Toxic hitmaker and asked her followers to stop “bullying”.

Britney, 38, said social media trolls had been criticising the pictures she shares, accusing her of wearing the same white bathing suit and repeatedly using a red background.

She often shares glimpses into her lavish lifestyle with her 23 million followers and has most recently become known for her home fashion shows.

Despite many fans complimenting the star, some have taken to social media to slam her for her choice of images.

Sharing a quote that read: “Nobody watches you harder than the people that can’t stand you” Britney shared a candid admission.

“I’ve read a lot of things online of people criticizing my posts…. saying I post the same 15 pictures with the same red background and wearing the same white bathing suit.

“For me, I get really excited about my posts …. and I like to share them with you all!!!! I’ve never owned a white bathing suit before and I simply liked the red background!!!!”

She went on to say: “Reading all of the mean comments really hurts my feelings …. and I wanted to share because you really shouldn’t be saying all of these mean things to someone you don’t even know .… this goes for bullying anyone really !!!!!!”

Speaking in December, Britney revealed that she found it difficult to share aspects of her life on social media as “people say the meanest things”.

Britney catapulted to fame in 1999 following the release of her debut album, Baby One More Time.

Her turbulent year in 2008 saw most of her life and business affairs be subject to a court-approved conservatorship which gives her dad authority over her finances and many aspects of her personal life.
