Lorraine presenter Christine Lampard spoke to football pundit Jamie Redknapp about the release of his new book today as he appeared on the show to talk about A League of Their Own.
Opening up about the forthcoming novel, the book is set to talk about Jamie’s family, his upbringing and his career in the football industry.
Jamie, 47, is set to release his book around the same time as his ex-wife Louise, who he split from in 2017.
Christine asked: “I guess we’ll see more of an insight into your whole family in your new book which you’ve managed to write in lockdown?”
Jamie replied: “Yeah it was fun actually, Frank is in there as well, it’s a bit of a memoir about football as well, I had a unique childhood.
“My uncle played for England, my dad was a successful manager, so there’s lots to talk about.
Obviously Frank gets involved, John Barnes, so some of my heroes and old school teachers.
“Obviously Frank and I, there’s five years between us, but to have two cousins play for their country and to see Frank doing so well at Chelsea as a manager, it’s pretty incredible.”
Meanwhile, Louise is rumoured to be dishing about her split from Jamie in the tell-all book, and told her fans it is going to be “empowering and uplifting – a little bit of a love letter to anyone who has ever wondered if they’re getting it right in life.”

Jamie is reportedly not happy about Louise’s planes for the book, according to Heat magazine.
A source said: “Louise is being warned against the book by just about everyone,” our source reveals.
“They all think it is going to cause issues with Jamie, who she co-parents with. He is not happy about this and has told her so.
“But she is now hell-bent on setting the record straight, and telling her side of the story.”
This comes after Louise reportedly being “knocked sideways” after seeing pictures of Jamie with his new girlfriend, Swedish model Frida Andersson-Lourie.
A source told New magazine: “It’s been hard because she knew about it for a while – a lot of people did – but even if you know, when you see photographic evidence it can be tough. It kind of knocked her sideways.”
Lorraine continues tomorrow at 9am on ITV.
