Alison Hammond gave her This Morning co-host Dermot O’Leary a savage telling off when she told him to “sit up” on air.
Alison and Dermot have been presenting the show on Fridays since the start of the year, and they recently took over from TV legends Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
The chatty duo were back on our screens presenting the ITV chat show together again on Wednesday morning (20 October).
However, it wasn’t long before Alison noticed her fellow presenter was slouching in front of the cameras, and she wasn’t best pleased with her co-star.
The segment took a turn when Alison noticed Dermot hunched over the table, and she decided to tell him to “sit up”.
Alison was keen to kick off the next part of the show when she told Dermot: “Come on, let’s move on the show.”
Dermot then jokingly moaned: “Oh it can’t be like this for another, what have we got, two and a quarter hours!”
Alison burst out laughing before she instructed him: “Come on, sit up.”
Dermot then sighed loudly before doing as Alison ordered and sat up, protesting: “It’s hump day!”
After their bit, Dermot finally moved the show on as he told viewers what was to come.
The two co-hosts enjoy a great relationship on and off of the camera, and they both regularly feature in each other’s social media posts.
In a recent interview, Alison calls Dermot her “work husband” but “little things” have caused friction between them on the set of This Morning.
She told The Sun: “We are so honest with each other now, we tell each other: ‘Can you not do that again. I don’t like it’.”
“It’s the little things, nothing major. For example, he steals my lines and he doesn’t keep up to speed with my life on Instagram even though we host a show together!”
Despite loving how she looks normally, the star also revealed how she doesn’t like how she looks when she’s sat next to Dermot.
She added: “I normally love the way I look, but I sit next to Dermot and think: ‘Bloody hell, I’m massive compared to you.’”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
