Former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook has revealed she’s back in hospital and is currently awaiting surgery.
The 47-year-old actress is scheduled to have an operation at Aintree University Hospital after doctors feared her previous sinus infection could “reach her brain”.
Taking to her Instagram to update her 75.5k followers, Danniella posted a picture of herself wearing a hospital gown. She also expressed that she is feeling “overwhelmed” with her current situation.
Captioning the photo, she wrote: “Waiting to go to theater. Feel so overwhelmed and full of hope and gratitude. Huge thanks to the most amazing surgeons and @nhs team x #gratitude #nhs #liverpool.”

Later on, Danniella also uploaded the same photo on her Instagram stories and added Christina Aguilera’s popular song Fighter.
Previously, the former Albert Square resident was informed that she may require surgery to prevent a repeat of the sinus infection, as doctors feared the infection could possibly “track back to her brain” due to the antibiotics not working.
Talking to The Sun about her condition, a source said: “Danniella is really poorly. She ended up in ICU after antibiotics for a sinus infection didn’t work.

“Experts were concerned infected mucus could track back to her brain, but she is being well cared for in hospital and is on the mend.”
Earlier this year, Danniella made a pledge to turn her life around following years of drug abuse and relapsing on “cocaine and champagne”.
The mother-of-two’s previous drug use had been heavily documented in the press throughout the years, as she famously had her nose reconstructed after her septum collapsed from excessive cocaine use in 2002.
Following her painful addiction, Danniella has embarked on multiple rehab stints and revealed she was finally clean in June last year.
The star has also been on a journey to change her overall appearance as she admitted she was being targeted by trolls online because of the way she looked.
In a 2018 interview, Danniella said her cheekbone was “wasting away” and she had “screws” in her mouth instead of teeth.
She expressed at the time: “I just don’t look like myself anymore.
“Obviously I’m going to age a lot faster anyway because of the drugs but I didn’t need this as well.”
In October, the TV personality unveiled her flawless new face with plump lips to fans online.
In order to achieve her glamorous new look, Danniella underwent a number of cosmetic procedures, including botox and fillers in several areas of her face.
